Why is it easier to stand up to Saddam than to George Greer?

Where is the vaunted "courage" of our president? A woman is being deliberately starved by order of a backwater state judge.

In 1961, John F. Kennedy sent federal troops to make sure a single African American - James Meredith - could attend the University of Alabama. Doesn't Terri Schiavo deserve to be protected against a backward Southern state's denial of her right to life?

Is it possible that the fact that Terri is being denied Easter communion might touch our president's heart?

Why was it so much easier to call out Saddam, than to tell George Greer to go to hell? MR. BUSH, SHOW SOME COMPASSION - AND SOME SPINE! SHE ISN'T DEAD YET. YOU CAN STILL RESCUE HER - AND FOIL BASTARD GREER'S EVIL PLAN.

"Why is it easier to stand up to Saddam than to George Greer?"?

Because a fight with judge Greer and the Florida police is far more personal than the sending of other men overseas to fight Saddam. I believe it's just that simple, it all boils down to a lack of courage and conviction.

(Note that Bill Clinton didn't fear sending in Federal Marshal to snatch Elian Gonzales and send him to the tyrant Fidel). This is why the liberals are winning their fight against conservatives, they will take the bold steps necessary to accomplish thier agenda. Conservatives won't. We elect Conservatives and they quiver behind their doors when push comes to shove.

Chamberlain, please STFU already. You could care less about Terri Schiavo. All you care about is launching some cheap attack on the President. If President Bush had circumvented the law to save her, you'd be screaming the loudest for his impeachment. We all know you will take the opposite position the President takes just to have another soap box to stand on and complain.

Even when "the right thing" would mean doing something that he does not have the legal power to do?

President Bush has a conviction and that is that the President of the United States is not above the law. The rule of law still applies in this country and perhaps if people would stop thinking with their emotions and use their brains they would see that.

Do you really believe that Jeb Bush doesn't have the power declare that Terri Schiavo's civil and religious rights are being violated? Hell, the 'judge' just refused her Easter Sunday Communion as she lays dying. THAT is a gross violation of her religious rights. All Jeb needs do is publicly declare that he is going to keep Terri Schiavo alive and investigate the possible violations of her civil and religious rights in the meantime, (just like Bill Clinton did with Elian Gonzales).

The local police will not stand up to 50 armed State Troopers, a hundred or so National Guardsmen, and the Governor of Florida's proclamation. Jeb Bush can find out if it's legal or not AFTER he saves Terri Schiavo. For right now just save this poor girl's life and worry about yourself later. There is a higher law that we all have to obey, and standing around watching a backwards county judge deliberately murder a disabled woman is the most shameful, disgraceful sight I've ever witnessed in my life.

"The rule of law still applies in this country and perhaps if people would stop thinking with their emotions and use their brains they would see that."

Tell which law says that a disabled woman whom several doctors have declared to be NOT in a PVS, and who is NOT on a respirator or life support beyond food and water, can be starved to death on the whim of her husband? The doctors involved in this case are at polar opposites regarding Terri's alleged PVS and her prognosis for some recovery; and these doctors who have declared Terri Schiavo to be NOT in a PVS have been utterly ignored by Judge Greer. Her rights are CLEARLY being violated. And tonight her religious rights were violated by this judge has denied her family's request to give her Communion on Easter Sunday as she lay in bed dying.

It is the judges who are breaking the law here and violating Terri Schiavo's civil rights, and the Governor, the House and the President are playing ball they THEIR rules even though they know full well that Terri Schiavo is being shafted, ILLEGALLY SHAFTED. The Judiciary is subordinate to the Congress and Senate.

FACT: Dr. Victor Gambone testified that he visits Terri 3 times a year. His visits last for approximately 10 minutes. He also testified, after viewing the court videotapes at Terri’s recent trial, that he was surprised to see Terri’s level of awareness. This doctor is part of a team hand-picked by her husband, Michael Schiavo, shortly before he filed to have Terri’s feeding removed. Contrary to Schiavo’s team, 14 independent medical professionals (6 of them neurologists) have given either statements or testimony that Terri is NOT in a Persistent Vegetative State. Additionally, there has never been any medical dispute of Terri’s ability to swallow. Even with this compelling evidence, Terri’s husband, Michael Schiavo, has denied any form of therapy for her for over 10 years.

Sign an executive order to withhold all Federal funds to the Company that owns that hospise. Order Federal Marshals in to remove her. Relocate her to a Military Hospital. Call on Congress to cite Judge Greer for contempt of Congress and put him in jail for the time period assigned by the Congress. Order a Federal investigation of the case including civil rights violations, graft and corruption. I could go on but you get the idea things like....you know his JOB.

"Please do not use common sense on some of these people,It will just confuse them."

Yeah, your common sense tells you if some Judge rules that Blacks can be made slaves again then it must "law", or that when the Governor, the House of Representatives and the President of the United States all agree that Terri Schiavo is being violated by a backwards county judge that they cannot reverse or overule this judge's ruling. They are merely helpless bystanders. I say 'nonsense'. I believe the Constitution gives superior power and authority to our elected representatives over the judiciary.

And BEAR IN MIND that the appeals Courts do not judge anything on the merits of the original case, they merely look at the reason for the appeal and decide whether or not to have a full appelate hearing. The United States Congress ordered judge Wittemore to hold a full appelate trial for Terri Schiavo, and he just thumbed his nose at them all.

You can't tell me that with all the government's lawyers, that they can't come with some legal way to prevent this travesty. There must be a law on the books that would protect this woman's rights. You and I both know that there is some legal way to intervene, however, they for some unknown reason, have choose NOT to do so.

Hope you enjoy Pres Hillery. Less than 3% to turn on the Republicans, that is all it takes. Better figure out the DNC voter fraud techniques fast.
