My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Thank you Ms. Feather. I hope you have a nice day today.
I'm on my way out to be with all the birdies in my yard!

You are invited to browse in the Lair. The Lair, is a poetry thread. We have many fine poets here at FR and we are fortunate to have many post their work here.

Alas, it is rainy in NY this day. I can see some birds out my back door window-it looks into my garden.
I ventured out there yesterday and was greeted by a huge area of tiny Johnny Jump Ups. So grand. The yard is turning into a fern garden. The fern spores are spreading over the entire little yard. Most pleasant on hot summer eves to sit amoung them.
Glenn Gaul Way becomes alive out there.

Thanks for the offer I'll have to cruise by and take a peek.
I trust the poems are all "G" rated.
Oh BTW....
What did the Mother Bullalo say to her male offspring?

That's the type of humor I get to hear with an Elementary Teacher and a Elemntary Teacher in Training in the house.

Good evening everyone!
I hope SOMEbody's ebjoying some beautiful Spring weather this weekend. LOL!
It's been mighty dreary in the TN. hills,
but at least there are flowers adding a little color to the scenery.

Hi radu.
Wow is this Iris blooming on the farm? WOO HOO! Iris don't bloom here until June.
What about Violas?? Do you have some this year??
To: bentfeather
Howdy feather!
Yes, that iris is blooming in the bed in front of the big gas tanks. I snapped the shot this afternoon.
Aunt Clara has several gorgeous varieties of iris stuck here and there around the farm, all blooming at different times. Here's another one, in the bed between the guest house and the barn.....
I wish the sun had been shining today. The flowers would be much prettier in sunlight.
It's GLOOMY and wet around here............did you notice the rain drops on the iris in the other post? Those are fresh drops. The wind apparently had already dried the drops on this iris.
The violas aren't doing too well this year for some reason. :-( Some have come up but nothing like the past couple of years.

What a great picture with no sun. Fantastic Du.
Yes, I did see the drops on the first picture. These colors are just beautiful.
We have had rain and gloom all day.
To: bentfeather
We're feelin' mighty moldy around here lately, with all the rain we've had. LOL! We're sooooooo ready for some sunshine!
Here's another iris that's open today. I used the flash to brighten it up, as the first shot I took was pretty dull.

Oh my, each one is more beautiful that the preceding one.
Nothing beats the deep purple though.
To: bentfeather
That deep purple one is my fave, though they're all gorgeous. I wish more than one of each was blooming. There are plenty of buds but the lack of sunlight may be slowing things down.
There are also other varieties that haven't opened yet that I'll snap pics of as they do. :-)

Good evening Ms. Feather. This is a gorgeous presentation, and poem.
To: laurenmarlowe
Good evening, ms marlowe. Did you enjoy your day??
To: bentfeather
I did Ms. Feather, thank you! In and out all day.
I enjoyed reading about your backyard turning into a fern garden, how lovely!
Might you get some sunshine tomorrow?
To: laurenmarlowe
Not very promising right now. It's typical of NY this time of the year. Under a mass of clouds. LOL
To: bentfeather
The sun is always shining for you here Ms. Feather!
