My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Good morning, Sam.
Lovely poem this morning.
Nice tunes, too.
Thanks for all and have a restful day.

Good Sunday afternoon Ms. Feather!
As a perfume doth remain In the folds where it hath lain, So the thought of you, remaining Deeply folded in my brain, Will not leave me: all things leave me: You remain.
Other thoughts may come and go, Other moments I may know That shall waft me, in their going, As a breath blown to and fro, Fragrant memories: fragrant memories Come and go.
Only thoughts of you remain In my heart where they have lain, Perfumed thoughts of you, remaining, A hid sweetness, in my brain. Others leave me: all things leave me: You remain.

When nature is the sculptor...
When nature is the sculptor, you get surprising art.
For she excels at fitting in, and balance plays a part.
Sometimes youll see things multiplied, to four or even five.
But at its core youll always find, a pair keeps it alive.
Youll never find a single thing, those unicorns are rare.
For nature likes things doubled up, theres strength in hiding there.
A thing alone will not last long, it seeks to find another,
In all the world it will be lost, if it cant find its brother.
Nature doesnt care, you see, about those strange proportions.
If theres a niche to fill, it will, no matter the contortions.
For that is how we got giraffe, and hippopotami,
And hummingbirds, and butterflies, and duck-billed platypi.
Nature doesnt care about what we call beautiful.
For all she needs is something that is not impossible.
Well round the edges off in future generations,
Until theyre so successful they will be our new sensations.
And has nature had a hand in what we see as so befitting?
I think we would be stranger still if we had done the knitting.
For why do we have hair up there and not defensive horn?
And why not have a tail with us to be our prickling thorn?
If we had been in charge of what we all have come to be,
I think its clear that all will have to see what I can see.
Our choices would have changed us into quite a frightful show,
Whatever kept us from this path? The Devil if I know!

Short, and somewhat implied in it's form, but my muse dropped by, and I kept her occupied until I could type the drek down.
A spark, a fire
New love is enflamed
Suddenly you find it's time to turn the page
No spark, no fire.
The lady is enraged
And once again you find it is time to turn the page.

Thanks! Here's another that could stand having some light shed on it...
Shadows
A shadow has two parts, you know.
The one above, the one below.
Within the shadow of a tree,
Toward the light heres what youll see.
A shaded part of tree is found,
To join the part thats on the ground.
The joining of the two may be,
Inseparable, like ground and tree.
But as the world turns through the day,
The shadow starts upon its way.
To join its cousins in the night,
And leave the clinging one in fright.
The world has turned its face away,
From that bright light that we call day.
The darkness that befalls thereon.
Will stay until the break of dawn.
The night is shadows fearful half,
The other part leaps with a laugh,
Out where it dwindles to a dot,
Evaporating on the spot,
Unless the moon has ventured in,
As round the Earth it does its spin.
The shadow is a twin at birth,
Even when its mothers Earth.
With one that clings close to its mother,
And one that flies away from brother.
Its journeys length always depends,
On what befalls before it ends.

*sigh* I wish I had a talent for writing but it's just never been there for me. :-(

Well, for me, my minor talent is a bit of an annoyance.
I'll get snippets of stuff, and it will run off and hide.
I much prefer sketching and such, easier for me to convey what I'm trying to express that way.

You have more talent than I think you realize. :-)
I enjoy catching some of Mother Nature's handiwork with the camera, such as the pic I posted of the dogwood blossoms. Last night's the first time I thought to try that in the dark and it came out better than I expected.

Oh, thank you, for the Dogwood photo.
It is Absolutely beautiful.
To: Darksheare
Good evening, Darkshere.
Nice poem you have written. Thank You.
To: radu
You know, I have zero talent with a camera.
Some of the forms and methods between sketching and photography are the same, so you'd think I'd be able to use a camera worth a darn.
Nope, zero talent with a camera.
