My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Reading some good stuff about a new MOH recipient and how joyful his family was that he received it...posthumously. Sort of put me in a thoughtful mood, y'know! {{{HUGS!}}}

Hello, Miss Feather!
I could use a stormy wind. To air out my house. The winter germies are everywhere!

We are fortunate today sunshine beaming through the windows!
Soon we will be able to throw the windows and doors open for a good airing out.

I love the cactus
it is very prickly
the cacophony heard
is not a symphony sweet
but hoots and hollers
if by chance
you touch my little feet!

The Lamplighter
Here to the leisured side of life,
Remote from traffic, free from strife,
A cul-de-sac, a sanctuary
Where old quaint customs creep to die
And only ancient memories stir,
At evening come the lamplighter;
With measured steps, without a sound,
He treads the unalterable round,
Soundlessly touching one by one
The waiting posts that stand to take
The faint blue bubbles in his wake;
And when the night begins to wane
He comes to take them back again,
Before the chilly dawn can blight
The delicate frail buds of light.

I found it amongst some of my Japanese poems that I have saved over the years, I must have liked it back then and I still do . . . ;-)

Good morning Ms. Feather!
Tulips
Strewn across the hillside, a flock of silken sheep Dyed in glorious hue. Prancing abandon After the tight-lipped thaw, once fisted buds Unfettered, wanton petals stroked by sun.
I plucked one, brought it home, set it on my table: Straight-stalked, lush, and crowned by crimson glow, Luminous. So sensual, to be so unashamed Opening its mouth, completely exposed.
Cupped between my palms, one tulip, culled, In single velvet repose, widening petals Joined at the point of my thumbs at the base of the bloom.
Drawn to its color, tempted toward its perfume, Lips dusted with pollen, I dip down into velour, Search for the dark drop of nectar concealed in its core.
