My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

There Will Come Soft Rains

There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground,
And swallows circling with their shimmering sound;
And frogs in the pools singing at night,
And wild plum-trees in tremulous white;
Robins will wear their feathery fire
Whistling their whims on a low fence-wire;
And not one will know of the war, not one
Will care at last when it done.
Not one would mind, neither bird nor tree
If mankind perished utterly;
And Spring herself, when she woke at dawn,
Would scarcely know that we were gone.

Good morning Ms. Feather.
Pear Tree
Silver dust lifted from the earth, higher than my arms reach, you have mounted. O silver, higher than my arms reach you front us with great mass;
no flower ever opened so staunch a white leaf, no flower ever parted silver from such rare silver;
O white pear, your flower-tufts, thick on the branch, bring summer and ripe fruits in their purple hearts.

There Will Come Soft Rains
by Sarah Teasdale
is simply grand, I love this poet so much.
Rainy day in the Empire State today. Some of Sarah's Soft Rains I would suspect.
Thanks for all and Golden Oldies on the tunes.

Thank you Ms. Feather!
You're beautiful just like the pear tree blossoms.
I hope you have a wonderful day too!

Flowers
I look at the soil of darkness and putrescence,
How can flowers find sustenance there?
And yet from soil and sunlight they somehow,
Will lift perfection in the air.
The honeybee enjoys the harvest,
And journeys deep in the flower-bell.
She wallows in the joy of life,
While we only get a smell.

Oh perfect poem Bob! Lovely!!
Dang you are good!!
To: bentfeather
Thanks!
It seems a little short. I'm sure I must have something more to say, but I don't like going beyond the punch-line.

I think more may have ruined the mood or at least throw off the cadence. It's very well written and it sings just fabulously!!
Sometimes it's hard to know when to stop and you hit it just right in this poem.
BRAVO!!
To: SAMWolf
Neat poem today, thanks Sam.

"I Am Not Yours"
by Sarah Teasdale
I am not yours, not lost in you,
Not lost, although I long to be
Lost as a candle lit at noon,
Lost as a snowflake in the sea.
You love me, and I find you still
A spirit beautiful and bright,
Yet I am I, who long to be
Lost as a light is lost in light.
Oh plunge me deep in love -- put out
My senses, leave me deaf and blind,
Swept by the tempest of your love,
A taper in a rushing wind.
"Without warning"
by Sappho
Without warning
as a whirlwind
swoops on an oak
Love shakes my heart

How Do I Love Thee?
by Elizabeth Barrett Browning
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, -- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! -- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

The Dazzle of You
The dazzle of your desire like a layer of passionate color blooms in beauty Shaking my love to the infinite beauty of our love
I am the ashes
