It's time for anyone considering retirement in Florida to SERIOUSLY re-think their plans.
There are many other states (and countries, for that matter) where they will be safer from murder under the color of authority when they get a little infirm and inconvienent.
If you are retired in Florida, and you are still able, you might consider getting out while you still can...
Let Florida know killing the inconvenient has economic consequences.
Flori-duh isn't the problem; liberal-demokkkRAT activist judges, are. They must be recalled and replaced.
Muleteam1
Super! If you could get another 5 million or so people to do the same that would be great.
Who in Gods name told you such a thing !! My father and his wife have lived a great life in Florida - not one single person has tried to harm them in any way -
And don't forget the "gators"....
I've lived here 30 years....
...I know there are conscientious, conservative folks who not only live and work here, but do their civic duty to effect change and work to make a difference.
Florida has given us Mel Martinez, David Weldon, Jeb Bush, Katherine Harris.....
I've brought up 2 God fearing, Republican voting children in the Florida school system, and I've seen my county opt...(against great odds) to support an abstinence only sex education.
My children have graduated from two fine Florida colleges, and are gainfully employed...
But fine, go ahead, ignore, boycott us...
..We will enjoy the beautiful sunsets, pleasant tropical climate, balmy days with swaying palm trees without you!
And while we remain here and work on our problems and try to fix them, enjoy your utopia, wherever that is.
Good point.
You can do this in any thread on the Schiavo case.
If it were just about Terri Schiavo, I would.
I see it as being about a larger picture, as I suppose most people supporting her do.
I made the judgment call that it was worth it's own thread, as it isn't really about one brain damaged/dead individual. We disagree on the scope of the problem.
Yet.
I've been expressing this from day one. Boycott the products too, don't intentionally finance their state judicial and political system. Too much conflict of interest with the regulators and the members of the boards of hospices and nursing homes often being one and the same. Add the judicial activism and you have schemes that rip off all the US taxpayers.
I'm sure just the act of having feeding tubes declared life support, meant a huge increase in their reimbursements from the Feds
Mineral Boy is one of the resident thread-cop/cranks and you owe him no explanation. Its best to ignore him.
"It is each individuals resposibility "
Individual responsibility?! NOOOOOOOOOO!!! I want the federal gov't to step in and solve my problems for me, as long as the gov't is led by Republicans!!!
[/sarcasm
I know. I chose to engage, rather than ignore.
Have your parents ever had any major health problems?
I love Florida.
I have, and will continue to, work for its good.
I will not leave unless I have to or God wants me to.
I love Florida.
I don't love the liberal activist judges Clinton and ilk have cultured....I don't love Janet Reno's involvement in our politics....I don't love FLorida's Supreme Court judges....I don't love constantly being on guard against judicial tyranny.
But I love FLorida, and think she's worth fighting for!
Yeah. I understand. I'm living in California.
Due to the turn of events, I have no objection where you put the thread as I find it interesting and pertinent.
I'm glad it started out where I could find it. I'm interested in what others have to say.
Yes - my father is a severe diabetic and has had three heart operations - he is blind and deaf with most major organs starting to fail in the last 7 or 8 years - he gets excellent care from all his doctors (which at last count was about 8) and from the hospitals . I have personally been with him during hospital stays and doctor appointments as have my sisters and we find very good care from everyone involved.
I hope that continues.
Retire there, heck! I'm not going to have a darn thing to do with the state.
