Darling Precious was a nightmare when I got her.
She tried to rip the face off anyone with facial hair.
I was able to break her of that habit - thank heavens... but she was a handful in the beginning. She turned into a sweetheart - she just had some serious issues from her last "home".
I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I've had several dozen foster/rescue dogs. Some can be rehabilitated, some can't. Got a great big cattle dog amongst my herd of little ones right now. He's a big old teddy bear. But when we first got him, we had to feed him through a fence. Now I gotta cocker/sheltie mix who's so tramatized we can barely touch her.

We hope so. Hope was a rescue. She's blind from untreated dry eye, but gets around just fine around here. And as you can see, she will tolerate no intruders.
