ARE YOU READY FOR A $20 MILLION WRONGFUL DEATH LAWSUIT AGAINST MICHAEL SCHIAVO, Does 1-10
the news | 3-22-05 | dfu

Posted on 03/22/2005 8:35:01 AM PST by doug from upland

It appears that Terri Schiavo is going to be starved and dehydrated. I don't see how it going to be stopped short of a kidnapping to save her life.

If we are to believe sworn affidavits, Michael Schiavo denied his beloved wife rehab, speech, and occupational therapy. Terri actually was able to drink from a baby bottle and ate pudding and jello. He threatened to fire a nurse if she got nourishment from anything but the feeding tube?

Why just the feeding tube? Because he could have that pulled and starve her to death. He had no interest in seeing that she learn to eat again.

A nurse has said that Terri was able to say "mommy," "help me," "hi," and express when she was in pain.

Terri is also being denied communion.

Michael thinks it is over when he has managed to starve and dehydrate her to death? No, Michael, I don't think so.

There will be a wrongful death suit filed of perhaps $20 million. The evidence will come out about the denial of rehab. Her broken bones will be investigated. Ultimately, Michael, some of the truth is going to see the light of day. You are not going to get away with it. Not in this life. Not in the next.

She never got 1.4 million. She got $700,000 and he got $300,000 for loss of consortium.

I have seen the face of pure evil--being interviewed by Larry King.

Even Freepers want her to die

Nice hyperbole there. If you notice I said I didn't 'want' her to die. But the rule of law is just that, the rule of law. So your solution is to now break the law?

I'm not going to get into my personal beliefs on what I believe about her, her parents, or her husband but I will just state I have struggled for several days about what is right here and what is wrong for her person.

"IF it's so painless...and IF she's PVS and can't feel a thing anyway...why the morphine?"

It gives her comfort from the dehydration process. It also depresses her respirations. Eases her to a peaceful death.
Prayers for SOMEHOW aid will come to Terri and she will be saved.

"Five years after the settlement, MS decided to pull the tube."

Peach, more correctly that's when he took action.

What Gaybob has asked you to do is "read" what was in MS's head and when. Only MS knows when he decided?

Let's start and conclude with yours.

Your nurse has been discredited,
and rightly so.

Do you want her to die or don't you? Because if the courts do not step in and replace her feeding tube she is going to die.

I don't want to break the law - I just want the "law" to keep her alive. That cannot possibly be construed as hyperbole.

The nurse has been discredited - HOW?

She offered an affidavit and went on TV. Either of which could subject her to legal action.

If she has/had been discredited, it would seem that would be the least of her worries, no?

"In the interest of truth, she was not a nurse; she was an LPN; she worked with Terri from 1995 for fourteen months. She was fired in 1996 for, among other things, claiming that another nurse at that facility was killing patients; her claims about Schaivo were reported to the police and they investigated and found NOT CREDIBLE."

Excuse me, an LPN IS a nurse. The way I heard this is that she was an LPN at the time of the incident and is now an RN. Why was she not terminated BEFORE she reported what she found? You know, if she's lying, she puts her license on the line. Most nurses try to protect themselves from that.

Don't make that mistake with me either.

I just heard Kate Adamson and her husband interviewed by Neil Cavutto. Kate and her husband say she was diagnosed PVS. She had a double stroke that effected her brainstem.

And because she was PVS, it was assumed she would feel no pain. But she was aware of everything going on around her....just could not communicate. She said she fought for any little movement that would tell them she was still here. But she couldn't communicate in any way.

She felt the pain, when they did the surgery to insert her feeding tube without anesthesia. She was screaming for them to stop...mentally. She also was completely aware during the 8 days her feeding tube was removed..and said she was screaming at anyone in the room to NOT let her die.

The pictures of her, during her PVS state, look very much like those we have seen of Terri.

She says, without the advocacy of her husband, and his refusal to let her go, and his adamant insistence that she be put in rehab, she would never have come back to the speaking, thinking, coherent person she is today.

Do you want her to die or don't you?

It doesn't matter what I 'want'. God's Will will be done. If He has chosen this is the time she gets to go home to Him, would you deny anyone that? Pslam 23 has many meanings to me but is clear in this instance. He will be with us through the valley of the shadow of death. He is with her even now. The parents have clearly stated in their prior testimony (found in the report to Jeb Bush) that even if she wanted to die they would not allow it. Do you consider that belief to be God's Will also?

I don't want to break the law - I just want the "law" to keep her alive. That cannot possibly be construed as hyperbole.

That statement no, it can not. However 'Even Freepers want her to die' is a bit of a stretch don't you think? No one posting here, however they feel, wants the woman to die. However some understand it is out of our hands, whether that be from a government, theological, or familial sense.

Beg to differ - if you want the feeding tube to remain disconnected, as many Freepers do, then she will die.

You cannot separate the two acts.

I hope MANY PEOPLE see your post. I heard her last week on the radio, too. She's heartbroken, as is her husband, since she went through this herself.

#63..Cut it out!

Your post maligns all the good, hard working, life loving, conservative folks who are trying to do their part and make a difference in our state.

And there are plenty.

And when you find this utopian place where there is no corruption, vice or liberal judges, I want to know.

Do you live in one?

Where is it?

I've lived in Florida for 30 years, and yes, we've happened upon hard times .....but take a look at the rest of the nation and you will see the same distorted morals and liberal policies across the board.

Most of us have not given up on Florida and are not ready to pack our bags...

I suggest, wherever you live, that you concentrate on effecting change for the good.
