It appears that Terri Schiavo is going to be starved and dehydrated. I don't see how it going to be stopped short of a kidnapping to save her life.
If we are to believe sworn affidavits, Michael Schiavo denied his beloved wife rehab, speech, and occupational therapy. Terri actually was able to drink from a baby bottle and ate pudding and jello. He threatened to fire a nurse if she got nourishment from anything but the feeding tube?
Why just the feeding tube? Because he could have that pulled and starve her to death. He had no interest in seeing that she learn to eat again.
A nurse has said that Terri was able to say "mommy," "help me," "hi," and express when she was in pain.
Terri is also being denied communion.
Michael thinks it is over when he has managed to starve and dehydrate her to death? No, Michael, I don't think so.
There will be a wrongful death suit filed of perhaps $20 million. The evidence will come out about the denial of rehab. Her broken bones will be investigated. Ultimately, Michael, some of the truth is going to see the light of day. You are not going to get away with it. Not in this life. Not in the next.
I will stop "harassing" Hildy, at your request.
Can you advise me how one questions someone else's veracity here on FR?
What term or method of approach for someone who makes statements, yet offers nothing verifiable to back them up? Anywhere else I have encountered such actions, the person has been called a "troll" - as I've understood it, a person who stirs things up, but won't back things up.

I use SEARCH ENGINES to get my info.
Suggest you do the same.
I don't have to post links for YOU!
Hey, no problem. Although I don't understand the need for the "is that better?" part. You hadn't answered me at all as of yet. I was only interested in one important question that others I'm sure are interested in knowing as well, inthat what it was you meant by saying that Terri was legally brain dead, which is quite a distinction. That's all. And I thank you.
"LOOK, PAL!

No, of course you don't.
It is much easier to make unsupported statements.

Pick up item with gloved hands.
Place in a plastic bag.
Take to nearest police station &/or District Attorney.
How long after Terri's "accident" was the settlement reached?
I believe the settlements were reached in 1992.
From what I've gathered on the web:
In August 1992 Terri was awarded $250,000 in a malpractice settlement.
In November 1992 Terri was awarded $1.4 million in malpractice trial.
The same month Michael Schiavo was awarded $600,000 in malpractice trial.
In January 1993, a jury awarded Michael Schiavo $350,000 for loss of consortium, and $750,000 went into a medical trust for all of Terri's future rehabilitative care.
He discontinued all rehabilitative care in February 1993.
In the interest of truth, she was not a nurse; she was an LPN; she worked with Terri from 1995 for fourteen months. She was fired in 1996 for, among other things, claiming that another nurse at that facility was killing patients; her claims about Schaivo were reported to the police and they investigated and found NOT CREDIBLE.
Regardless of what one may think of Michael Schiavo, it is clear that Felos is an active participant in the culture of death. I don't see how anyone could dispute that.
MS is probably legally immune to the present events since the courts were consulted beforehand. But, there sure are a lot of fresh accusations about what may have gone on 10 to 15 years ago, and there may be something there.
Your question has nothing to do with the thread, so I am not entitled to answer it.
She received $700,000 and he received $300,000.
And histroy repeats itself.

Hildy is a long-term respected FReeper. We are allowed to have differing opinions. This is an incredibly emotionally charged issue and we are arguing as families sometimes do. Of course, not like an OJ family argument.
I need you amazing talent to reword this and set it to music as history repeats itself, AGAIN.

Let cooler heads prevail.
The "Terri needs to die with dignity" group are several degrees cooler, because they are winning and we are losing.
It may be time for those of us who are "pro-life at any cost" advocates, to stand back and breathe the heavy air of defeat.
Sad, but true.
Sorry, but no. The Constitution of these United States is a specific outlining of the limitation of powers of the federal, now national, government and nothing else. The 10th Amendment is clear. And the separation of powers is even clearer. Madison and Scalia both agree. And before you claim the 14th, all judges in this situation have stated clearly she received 'due process' as afforded under the Florida Constitution and since being thrown into the national courts, the US Constitution as well.
The American Revolution was without precedent
And we didn't have the Constitution then did we? Are you suggesting we subvert the rule of law and just have another American Revolution? That's good, rule by force and popular opinion instead of by republican (little r) law.
I do not wish this woman to die. But instead of all 'conservatives' running to the national government to fix their problems (which has no power in this situation) perhaps as Christians we should pray for a change of heart for all parties involved and that God's Will, not ours, is done. And be willing to accept the outcome whatever it be that He would receive the glory from it, and not us.
"We are allowed to have differing opinions."
I fully agree, but I as much respect as you and others obviously have for Hildy, I have zero respect for someone who makes a statement, **not offers an opinion**, and yet refuses to back it up.
Hildy may or may not be a troll, but in my understanding of what one is IMHO he/she is acting like one in this instance.

I have surrendered.
Terri Schiavo should just die. The State Courts have declared it. Her husband wants her to die. Terri said she wanted to die. Even Freepers want her to die.
Sorry Terri, I tried, but I was overwhelmed by the evidence.
