Robbie had three terrific years for Cleveland from 1999-2001. Despite the spitting incident with umpire John Hirschbeck in 1996, he's a first ballot Hall of Famer, IMO.

It's telling about the character of the guy when, upon his retirement the spitting incident gets mentioned right along with his stats.
I always liked Robbie anyways, definitely a HoFer.

We got to watch the best and most amazing middle-infield combination in the history of baseball for three years. Omar and Robbie made the amazing routine and the unbelievable common.
Robbie and Hirschbeck became friends after the incident, which Hirschbeck later all-but admitted was partly his fault.
