Windows doesn't do 'drag-n-drop' as good as - oh, say a Macintosh does.;-)

Besides, what's so hard about "insert/picture/from file"? It's Windows babe, be thankful you don't have to go to the command line.

So far, the best way I can find to do it, is to right click on the pic and copy and place the curser where you want the pic and right click paste.

I'll see what else I can figure out.

Right click and go to copy. then in your power point slide, right click and paste. That should work.

Whatever the problem is, it's Powerpoint, not Windows. I can drag/drop to Word. I can't find anything in the Powerpoint options that controls drag/drop though.

And here's a thought - maybe your images are too big for the powerpoint viewer to handle? Try something you know is small.

Here's a thought. Instead of dragging and dropping with the left mouse button, drag and drop using the right mouse button. You might get a context menu to pop up when you release the button. This works inside Explorer when moving files and you get a context menu popup that gives you options on how you like to move the file...copy, move, create shortcut...etc.
