Right click and go to copy. then in your power point slide, right click and paste. That should work.

Thanks. However, I STILL get only a text object with the file name... The same thing happens if I copy and paste, or drag and drop into a Word document.

Funny thing, though, the drag and drop DOES work when the destination is an Outlook Express new message.
