As Arthur Wildfire! said before, it's a shell game. A true conservative would look at ways to cut spending, rather than shift the tax burden.

That property tax decrease is not going to make much of a difference when businesses start passing their tax increases along to the consumer.

I would add, a tax structure is better when it rewards job-based investment. I'm not clear how rewarding real estate based investment will create jobs. It's just an aside.

But we might as well keep it simple. They want people to 'slim down'. They need their BUDGET to slim down!

Given that you have shown you have no idea what is going on, and have knee jerk reactions, why do you see changing the tax structure and reducing spending as mutually exclusive?

But at least all consumers will be paying regardless of whether they own property or not..... The property owners have been taken to the cleaners long enough.

If you don't cut the taxes then at least spread them such that more people pay a share.
