Randy's right about Carrie's performance--she didn't connect with the song.
Paula: "A couple of not-so-great notes, but who cares!?"
Simon liked it better than Bo's song. "Round 1 goes to you."

I have an African Grey. He's my little friend.
I'm thinking about getting another one, but maybe a fiesty little Amazon. He and Roger could entertain each other pretty well.
I also have a couple of parakeets, just for fun. My dream would be to have a home aviary full of all sorts of birds!

BO! BO! BO!There are many chanting that tonight :) I'll be happy with whoever wins.

Simon is right. Bo's song was awful. Carrie's song was good but she was off key. Still close going into the second song.

She does look nervous. I'd probably stand there and wet my pants on the stage though, so she's certainly doing better than I would!

Hi!
Well ... he didn't sound sick! I thought it was just not his style of song. It was good but not great. I did like the song ... more of a song for a ballad singer.
To: mystery-ak
I agree....good for her!
Go Okie!

I have an african grey! Also 2 keets , 2 tiels, 1 quaker, 1 green cheek conure!

I liked Carrie's performance much better then Bo's, too. I don't get ripping on the songs. Aren't the original songs selected for the performers?

Kelly Clarkson performs on NBCs 'Today' show in New York on Monday, May 23, 2005. The former 'American Idol' winner is promoting her new album 'Breakaway.'

To: texasflower
Yep. She's great, but i think Bo will end up the winner.
And I agree with you I'd hate to see me up there. I might make it to the outtakes:)
To: maggiefluffs
What the heck has Hollywood done with my Kelly!?

But they didn't get to pick their own songs, so how can they be held accountable for the song choices?
If anything, the fact Carrie was out of tune should tell you something. She isn't ready.

I really have to admit that I have made up my mind before tonight that I'm voting for Carrie. She could sing Mary Had a Little Lamb and I'd still vote for her. I like her voice and her look better. Whatever I say about Bo has to be taken with a grain of salt because I'm biased.
