(Now look what you've started...)
I will miss them all...
Randy's "just 'ay-ight'", Paula's whoops,
Simon's pithy barbs...
Now that AI's done,
Maybe they could get confirmed
as US judges?
I agree with your assessment, Netizen. Anthony should still be in the competition.
Choosing Vonzelle would be giving us a clone of the ear-blasting Fantasia.
Guys like Bo, who have grown up with their parents' rock idols on the radio or stereo 24/7, are a dime a dozen. Bo is a great mimic, but he has no voice, zero personality, and zip originality. Guys like him pass thru my town every Friday night on their "eastern tour". They look alike, sound alike, and party alike.
Carrie is at least different. Her voice is reminiscent of the sultry Peggy Lee (who only septuagenarians will remember). She has a lot of room for growth and polish in her voice and in her performance, but the potential for stardom is there. Her natural beauty and manner are like a breath of fresh air in the current music environment.
IMHO, Carrie should be the next American Idol.
The AOL poll this week is "out of date." They still have Anthony on there and he's still getting 3% of the vote...
Kinda weird!
Anyway....it's still about the same as last week for overall results.
Bo - 52%
Carrie - 33%
Vonzelltasia - 11%
Let's see if that holds true for tonight.
My biggest fear is that so many of us Carrie fans, along with Vonzell's fans, will have cast votes for "our girls" and there's a slight chance that Bo could be voted off....
Not very likely, but I thought about it around 10:55pm on my last few votes for Carrie.
Looking forward to tonight's show!
What will be interesting to watch is who wins and how much money they rake in, or NOT. With AI still promoting them, a certain amout of sales will be there. The true test is a couple of years out. The tour will show if the top 3 are trying to 'improve' or expand their abilities.
Speaking of superstars, I think we may have witnessed the beginnings of one last night on AI. I don't know what got into Bo these last few weeks, but he has far, far surpassed Carrie and Vonzell.
Wasn't that something!? Bo broke away from the pack last night--and it just might be enough to guarantee that he'll be the next American Idol. At this point, I don't care who wins, really, just as long as it's either Carrie or Bo, but between them I think the vote will be close.
Vonzell must leave tonight!
Hey Bud! Did you ever get through?
NO! But I gave up after 10pm. Repeat after me: Vonzell must go! Vonzell must go! :)
Well, at least you got one vote in!
Every vote counts! :)
I bet a dozen donuts he's performed that a capella before at a gig of his and that it wasn't the big risk everyone thought.
Maybe so, but I think it took some courage to go against the grain of the show like that.
Hi there...more haiku
Have to watch the show through you,
California time =^)
Come on BO AND CARRIE! :D
You've been on a haiku binge today :)
I can't watch it for another hour. Read thread? ....wait and watch? ...read thread? ....wait and watch?
What's a hobbit to do?
Hello. I'm a little nervous tonight about the outcome. Only got in 158 votes because the dog wouldn't leave me alone. I agree with you about tomorrow night. I'll probably be watching The Apprentice.
I voted 15 times for Bo & 10 times for Carrie.
Here! And I am NOT answering the door or the phone!
