That "baby's mama" song is a real insult to any parent who's trying to teach their girls the right way to live.
I know that the "Idols" are not supposed to be "role models," but they still look up to these kids no matter what we say.
That's why I liked Diana last year and Carrie this year. Both seem like "wholesome, regular girls" without issues.
One plus for Vonzell...she also seems "wholesome." But you've gotta watch those Postal carriers!

That's what I heard. He did say yesterday on Fox and Friends that he was working security for Home Depot though.
My guess is that both are technically correct. He probably went through the state corrections officer course and then went to work for Home Depot. Probably more money working private security.
I used to teach police academy and security guard classes. Some of those in the guard classes went to the jails, some went into private security.

I thought I read today that Von was crying last night because her 12 year old dog had died yesterday. Anybody else here that?

Actually it's not so far fetched. Scott has a 4 year old son from his ex girlfriend which was black. Scott and Vonzell both have government jobs. They both aren't afraid to thank God for things in public.Hmmm. I just never would've thought of them as a couple. For example: she's athletic and he's not :)

Yep, Vonnie's a pretty girl.
You just know Randy wants to "Corey" her. He LOVES everything she does, even if it's not so good.

If that's what happened, I'll give her that. I'd be upset, too. Took me weeks to get over one of my dog's dying.

I had a big crush on that cutie George Huff. That little bouncy thing he did was so cute.
TonyWpi has Diana's new CD. He likes it. I just ordered it last night.

Agreed, Paula doesn't seem to have "it" for Anthony like she does some of the others. This is just so nerve wracking!
To: texasflower
He was a cutie. Always had that nice smile on his face. Just a super sweet guy. I didn't know Diana had a cd. I need to buy it and the Jon stevens one.

The heck with her nerves! Vonzell is starting to wear very thin on my nerves.Amen to that! I know it seems might cold-hearted of me, but I didn't buy her "breakdown" last night for a minute. If only she put that much effort into her singing.
To: mystery-ak
That's too bad - I won't be able to see my tape till later. Anthony's a class act and did very well. When I saw his audition, I told my son "Top 10, easy." He'll do just fine, especially with some good coaching. Remember how hopeless Clay's dancing used to be on AI2? He does just fine now. :-)

Good grief. That is crap.

Anthony and Carrie were so adorable doing that group song tonight.
They looked like they could perform together really well.
I'll bet they do a duet together on the AI tour. Good thinking!

"Don't Cry Out Loud" is on the CD.
I've never heard that song sung better than with Diana D doing it.
"Emotional" is a good tune too.
I think Diana D has better "pipes" than anyone this season. Her voice is a gift from God. Her "downfall" was the fact that she was very young and came off too "cutesie."
Carrie is a few years older and avoids that problem.

Clay definitely got the better end of the deal. Whether or not he netted more calls, he was clearly the one to pull the sales, the buzz and the fannies into the seats. I liked Ruben, too, but his performances did not have that "rewind" element to them as often.

My kids went to the Kelly Clarkson concert on Monday. They said it was great.
My youngest was going to post a review here, but she got called in to work.
They said Kelly is blonde now and very thin. She's still very personable.
She did some R&B, along with some country, and some stuff they described as punk rock, whatever that means.

On the left coast too, and although I knew that Anthony would go tonight, I don't think he should have, and I can't watch it! GRRR!!! The judges did him in for sure! This thing just stinks to high Heaven!!!!
