If you think they'll have another white girl be the American Idol, you are not living in this world, my friend. This year it will DEFINITELY be a guy and my money, right now, is on Anwar now that Mario is gone. I was sure would have won. He had everything. If Reuben got himself together and lost some weight, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. But it look like Reuben can't even tour for AI because of his health issues. They NEED a black guy for the American Idol "tour." Which now consists of Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aikin (kinda like the runner up who fills in for the 1st prize winner) and Fantasia. It'll be a black person. I know this sounds racist, but it's show business. And for those who say that America votes ... if you don't think they can manipulate the results, well, I have some land to sell ya...

Well, if you're right about it being someone black, I hope it's Anwar. He seems like a great guy, has a great look, and a great voice to boot.

However, they may go in another direction and pick a rocker...Bo.

Still, I think Carrie Underwood has a shot. American people can surprise you! Her girl-next-door charm and the country music background, which is hot right now, may pull her through.

Yes, you are probably right about the politics, as I still believe little gay guy Clay really won.

Carrie is welcome in Nashville anytime I bet.

I hope it's Anwar

All said and done I think it's going to go:

1. Anwar
2. Nadia
3. Bo
4. Jessica

Jessica is a better singer than Carrie but Carrie is a close second. I'd be happy with either.

I, too, think Bo or Anwar will be there at the end. Somebody please get the hook for Mikalah. She is so annoying (think The Nanny.) Vonzell and Constantine are overrated.

All I have been saying is "Go, Constantine! Just GO! And never come back!" Can't stand that guy.

Great! Thanks for putting me on the list. I won't be posting and watching (too slow for that!), but I'll be commenting after the show.

I predict Lindsey, Vonzelle, or Scott as next to go.

I think Mikalah's been trying to hold down her personality. She's only 17 though. I'll cut her some slack for that.

Mikalah owns whatever audience niche people like Barbara Streisand and Bette Midler used to have - I could never understand their appeal, but apparently a substantial number of people like that type of entertainer.

Thanks for the ping! Great job of getting them all together. It's really getting difficult now but for my female choice, I will stick with Nadia. For the male choice, I'm leaning to Bo or Anthony. They're all good though.

Good job Jonny. I'll be back later tonight.

What I'm hearing about Mario from my business (radio) is that he's probably been approached with a contract offer and he just can't discuss it yet. If this is true, next year I'm sure AI will close this loop-hole.

Dude, how ya doin' tonight, dog? Well, ya know, this ping list idea is just okay for me, ya know? It started off a little pitchy, ya know, and you had some rough spots in there, but, yeah, ya know, it was just all right for me...

VOTE OFF RANDY AND PAULA FOR AI 2006!!!!

(and GO BO!!)

they might not have to manipulate the results to get a black winner. didn't Ruben beat Clay fair and square?

I am always happy to see Clay doing well, though I don't follow pop music or watch Idol except by accident. Simon is the only attraction, IMO, with his clever acid tongue.

Revised Idol ping! I’ve added several names to the list that I, in my haste, forgot this morning. I’ve also added the names of everyone that responded to this thread. If you want to be included or excluded, just let me know—your wish is my command.

T-minus 10 minutes! (give or take)
