"I would call to vote AGAINST someone...."
Yeah! That would be much better! Kind of like Survivor!
Vote the bad one's off first.
"It looks like everyone agrees it's slingblades time tomorrow night.."
Yes, but we all thought he'd be gone LAST week. I hope we get this one right!
You say to-MAY-to, I say to-MAH-to.... :-)
What do the judges want!? Carrie loosened up and sang her heart out on a non-country song. And even though her last "Yeaaaaah" was a little too Fantasia-ish for me, she still blew the roof off the place.
I'll look forward to your scorecard. I enjoy reading them.
At least last week, Slingblade got at least some sympathy from the crowd. But that's all gone now--his own mouth saw to that.
I know, I know....but he may of sealed it tonight with his smart-a$$ remarks....he had to upset the Bo and LtDan fans...
Were you watching from the beginning of the season? There was a girl who came on in full gothic dress, black and blue hair, black nails and lipstick -- the whole gothic nine yards. But man the girl could SING.
Are you familiar with the top British stage musical star Sarah Brightman? She was in the original production of Phantom of the Opera. Has a very high, pure soprano voice. Well, blue hair gothic girl sang just like her. Perfect voice. Hit a spectacular high C. Simon even said she was like Sarah Brightman.
But the girl's self-image was too weird. She did get passed on to the Hollywood round, but blew it there by being just too strange.
If she had made it through to the top 12, she would sure have livened up the competition. I hope someone takes that girl aside, tells her she's potentially a great talent, and convinces her to rejoin the human race so that she can do something with her talent.
Scott is gonna be sorry he shot off that parting line from the stage...something about "At least I have the guts to get up here and do this". Spoutin' off like he's in a bar, dissing the hecklers. No class!
Good question. Other than to make buckets of money, I sometimes wonder. Their advice to the kids, such as it is, sucks much of the time.
I think you've got the top 3 right. Carrie, Bo and Lt. Dan.
Simon also wants to see that from what I can tell.
Vonzell's the "dark horse" to make it there as well.
The big "match" will probably be between Lt. Dan and Bo Bice(who reminds me of the lost Doobie Brother).
The question for the final 2 will be if the loser's (Bo or Lt. Dan) fan will turn on the other and vote for Carrie.
BTW...the girl's still in on Nashville Star. The Buddy Holly guy, the Toby Keith looking dude, and the "cowboy" are left with her.
Everybody got quiet on this thread. Are you all off voting on your favorites?!
Anthony is very pleasant though. He has alot of the tween vote also. He seems like a nice kid. Hope that works in his favor for awhile. Plus he sounded better than whiney Anwar, I thought.
Carrie has proved week after week that she can sing any style....IMHO she did great tonight(no bias,,hehehe)...and you're right the judges, producers etc know who they want for the final 2 or three....Bo, LtDan and Carrie.
Well, thanks.
When I get fightin' mad enough
and steamed so's I could spit,
nothin sez it like a rime...
jes fer th' heck of it.
An when the steamin' spittle stops,
along with fumin' foam,
least wise what's left to show fer
it's
a frappy, scrappy pome.
Opera girl was what Seacrest called her. She was GREAT!!!
I can't believe she didn't make it into the finals.
Remember Scooter girl from last year? She was really good too.
Yes! I remember her. I thought she would make it to the semi-finals at least. I was surprised when they told her she was done. But maybe her voice was too "opera" for the show, I don't know. But it was damn strong! And I kinda liked her look, if she'd just toned it down little ...
LOL. I think you're right on target, SJ!
Thanks. The Buddy Holly guy is a small-town cop in his day job. Somehow, I can't see the thugs here in the L.A. area being all that scared of that little skinny cop.
So they got rid of that creepy guy with the hair combed down into his eyes?
"What do the judges want!?"
I don't know about Simon and Randy, but Paula wants another double vodka. \_/ \_/ *hic*
