I no longer have cable TV and Nashville Idol is one of the few cable shows I really miss. Enjoyed watching last year: I voted for George Canyon (the Canadian) who came in 2nd, and I bought his CD when it came out.
I thought Constant-pain was off key a few times tonight.
Only Freddie Mercury can sing that old Queen tune and do it justice. He made like Lorena Bobbit and bit off more than he could chew.
Bo did a much better job with Freebird. But I wish he's stop that microphone thing. Constant-pain does that too.
I hope he's voted off tomorrow.
Nadia, with her weak voice, should also be in the bottom three.
Anthony, Scott and Nadia in the bottom three.
I was just picking with you about Constantine (because his fans are rare here!). He was actually good last weak. But his perfomance tonight was all tongue and hair, IMHO.
Do any of you actually vote?
Good evening, jonny. I just got online a few minutes ago and have caught up with the earlier comments. Good for Carrie! I'm proud of her. All she needs to totally run away with this competition is to work on her stage presence.
LOL
In presidential and mid-term elections, yes. But not for AI. If things get tight for Carrie, I'll probably pick up the phone for her, but not for anybody else.
Scott smells like a turd covered in burnt hair.
I agree with your bottom 3...but Anwar could be the surprise there in place of Fed-her-off.
He actually has one of the best voices, but I don't see him getting a lot of votes. He's kind of like that Wallpaper thing that Simon said about Nadia.
Carrie, Anwar and Vonzell have the best vocal talent, but voice alone won't win this. Look what happened to Jessica this year and Latoya last year.
Constant-preen
he looks obscene
slobbering that mike
Google eyes
I do despise...
wish he'd take a hike
Funny thing...
to hear him sing...
he doesn't sound half bad
But when I take
the blinders off,
the sight of him ...
ye GAD =^(
I'm surprised. Maybe I shouldn't be, though. The judges are so inconsistent. One week they tell someone they are playing it too safe because the kid won't try a new genre or something. Next week the same kid does try something different, so the judges complain that he or she picked the wrong song for them. Go figure.
I would call to vote AGAINST someone....
Hi! Carrie actually left the stage tonight and climbed up on the table behind the judges. As the Bush Twins like to say, she "shook it like a Polaroid!" :)
It looks like everyone agrees it's slingblades time tomorrow night..
Good poem!!
BTW...I voted last year for Diana D during the last 5 weeks.
I'll probably vote for Carrie after they vote off Scott this week. Things are getting tighter and he's the only clear 'bad voice' left in the crowd.
(I don't mean the rest are 'good voices,' but there's no clear 'loser' in the bunch.)
My recaps and scores will have to wait this week... I won't be able to get to the show on TiVo just yet...
Hey, now THAT'S a classic!
Thanks,
I always vote...over and over and over =^)
Yep, I think you're right. Although we, the audience, never get to know the vote breakdown among the contestants, the producers and judges know who's pulling in the biggest votes. So I'm sure they try to push the competition toward those contestants who seem the most marketable. I have no doubt at all that this year Carrie, Bo and Lt. Dan are the biggest vote getters -- exactly in what order, I can't guess.
