Anyone hear about "Mario brother" getting some big contract with Puffy Combs? I heard a rumor about that.
One thing about that guy, his leaving when he did was PR genius.
He knew he would not make the top 3 and therefore probably wouldn't get a contract. So he left BEFORE he could get voted off and has done the whole 'talk show' thing, without doing any of the work.
My prediction ... Ivan's (Anthony) going tonight ... slingblade next week
Sorry to hear that. We'll be here when you get back :)
Ahhh, well I think he has a great R&B voice. He'll get signed somewhere.
You would be wrong.
I'll bet you coffee
Ahhh...I keep forgetting that the "west coasters" haven't seen the results yet.
I can keep a secret!
BTW....the new South Park's good tonight.
"Something in my wants to see Clay do a Broadway show someday..."
ME TOO! I know they just re-did Oklahoma, I saw it and was OK, but I did hate the gal who played Laurie, so that wasn't too good. But maybe Carousel? No he's not right for that either. But he could rock in some show!
The kid and I would love to see it.
I'd love to see him win a Tony. He's been doing a little low-level TV acting (he was cute in Scrubs), and I think is very trainable. I wouldn't be surprised at all.
I agree - I think he'll do well.
You were right ... I owe you coffee. BUT Vonzell ???
"Vonzell is sweet. I'm glad she's still in. She can hit high E-Flat, which Barbra Strident could never do when she sang "People" (according to Paula.)"
Yes, I like her too, we didn't see the whole show yesterday, and of course we were annoyed she chose that awful BS song, but it seemed she did it well.
I basically have a tin ear, but I believe what you (and Paula!) say.
I thought Nadia (hubby is a BIG FAN) did very well by her song, (as long as he needs me, from Oliver!) although it is really an awful song, if you know the show you know it is a song by an abused woman to the man who will ultimately kill her.
What show is "People, etc." from? Is that from "on a clear day you can see forever"? Gosh I'd love to see that movie again.
Barbara Streisand was great back in the day, when she just "shut up and sang". I'd like to see her "Hello Dolly" again too.
Just keeping up with the thread here, not too sad Nikko's gone, the competition's going to get very intense. Carrie's getting better and better, she's got the looks, she's got the voice, could be the winner.
I still don't have a major fave, but I'm so enjoying this all!
And it turned out her lover was her husband's jogging buddy. OUCH....
Hey there OP, missed Idol tonite but I was reading your comments and it made me think of something. Remember before Annette Funicello disclosed that she had some type of disease and everyone thought she was drunk when they saw her?
I thought of this when I read your comment. I saw Paula on Leno, and it was really strange. Her voice was strange, as if her throat was constricted or her tongue wasn't working right. It makes me wonder now. Hope she's okay.
You owe me nothing...I was on the east coast thread....if you go back on this one you'll see. I hate the results shows so I only watch the FR thread.
Missyme, how can you compare Bo to Jim Morrison and David Cassidy? He is miles from their category in looks. Blecch.
Goodbye Nikko.
Now my son-in-law has a theory. He believes that AI is pushing for Constantine to win. Remember how they followed him when he told his band he was quitting?
And now this show tunes deal - Connie toured with 'Rent'. Hmm. Could my son-in-law be onto something? Pretty smart, that young man.... ;)
I have a friend with ALS ... he's a few years into it now, but still walking. His speak sounds thick ... if you didn't know, you might think he'd been drinking. I truly hope she's ok.
Good way to describe it. That's how Paula's sounds.
Whatever's going on with her, she never has an unkind word about anyone. (except Simon, he he)
Hope you're okay Paula!
