Yeah, in about 30. In fact, I'll be going off line momentarily. Enjoyed the conversation here tonight, as always.

I haven't heard any of Josh's music. His song doesn't seem to get played much, if at all, on L.A.'s one big country station. But I like him, too. Besides, Simon deserves a little come-back from time to time. As a Marine, Josh wasn't an awed kid.

I saw the Kelly/Clay show last year.Lucky. I wish I could have seen it. Kelly's solo tour comes to L.A. in May this year, but the dates are on work days, unfortunately.

I think the last two winners say a lot about the breakdown of the demographic. I haven't seen any numbers or stats, I'm just guessing. The other deciding factor (imo) has been personality. Clay and Diana are both likeable, super-sweet vanilla types, and Reuben and Fantasia really had their own original personality things going. Like it or not, Fantasia had her bo-bo (whatever the heck that was) and Reuben had his jerseys and "peace" gestures. (I'm so hip...if they have other "street" names I'm so oblivious!)

Thanks for the ping jonny. Had to miss the show tonight, but I Tivo'd it for later. Not going to be able to watch it anyway, as I am leaving for a trip to my hometown for a funeral this weekend.
So, Nikko is out. Too bad. I think there are worse than him.
I am rooting all the way for Carrie.
See ya next week!

Nope - his famous father is Hall of Famer shortstop Ozzie Smith of the St. Louis Cardinals! Loved the Wizard of Oz!

I suspect that as soon as Fantasia can leave the AI contract, some big-time urban music company will snap her up.

My daughter has Diana D's CD. It's very good. She has an amazing voice!

It was great - I went down to San Jose to see it. Clay's solo "Not a Tour" didn't come to CA, but I did see the Christmas concert ... lovely.

If Carrie doesn't win this she's still going to have a huge career. It might work to her benefit to get the boot...she wouldn't be under contract to AI.

I can't imagine that someone wouldn't swoop in and sign her to a contract right away.
It is comforting to me to know that if she loses, I doubt that it will be the last we see of her.

Something in my wants to see Clay do a Broadway show someday, win a Tony for it, then rub it in Simon's face. Anyway, got to go off line. The conversation has been great.
