This was an email forward.
I took the names out for privacy. I had to post, too sweet!
Copy and edited:
A lady found the fawn under her step (they think the doe might have been hit by a car)... her Ridge Back dog is helping look after it. The family named the fawn Bella. Once she has regained her strength (she was not in good shape when the family found her) they are going to send her to some friends who (in the past) raised two orphan deer and released them to the wild. Right now she is being bottle fed. Their dog (Hogan) has basically taken over. The fawn even shares his bed.

I don't like torture pictures either. :-(
Sorry, Calpurnia, maybe I should just have made a comment about cooking the thing,as others did. But I won't eat venison any more,so I just went for the rant.

Thanks. Anyway, they (the departments) seem almost evil in the way they deal with the wildlife. May just be the agents involved.

It wasn't tortured. It was an accident. Wow, you are a tuff crowd tonight.

Ridgeback's are cool dogs. Any breed bred to hunt lions has my respect.

And you chose to be the grump on a sweet thread... I'd harass you and post more and more cute pictures of deer, but I think you're too crabby to even be fun ;~|

The first picture is one of my all time favorites on the internet; and I had not seen the other ones..........adorable...The white flower petals on the steps are welcome in the picture.
I hope the little thing got well. I have about a half dozen deer in my yards about every day. They eat a lot of plants here, but I can't dislike them for it.

Sorry to bring you or anyone else down, but those of us who have to live with damned deer, don't find even baby ones "cute".Speak for yourself, please.
I live with them every day, and I disagree with your jaded assessment.
