Info needed and Prayers Please ! My Mom had chest pains yesterday and had a heart attack . She had 3 stint's put in and they say she needs another one , but they said they don't like to do more than 3 at once.
Any information on this would be appreciated . Thank You !
I just found out about this about 3 hours ago so I've been googling . She still has some chest pain and is still in CCU :-(

Good luck. The stuff they are doing with Stents now-a-days is pretty cool, actually. Especially related to Nuclear Medicine :)
What is happening ?
rest easy. stents are great. they can last for 20 years. she is okay...the recovery is relatively short. she will be on blood thinners and lipitor and plenty of other meds for the rest of her life, and that is a good thing.
She seems to be doing pretty good considering . She also has Type II DB .

Diabetes and Heart Disease often go hand-in-hand, unfortunately. On the plus side, when people eat properly to control their diabetes, it can often help with Heart health... So, maybe it's not necessarily a bad thing...
This hopefully be the silver lining . I have talked to all the doctors now. So she has a nice healthy regiment ahead .
