I'd love to ride in a Chinook...I know they're supposed to be really loud and such, but I'd still love to try it just once. Same with a Black Hawk, but nobody offered and I was too shy to ask.

Hey Lil...do you ever hear anything about the local units? Like my unit? I figure you probably can't tell me what...but I just wondered if your job had stuff like that in it...

My friend, that told me our guys were going, said Danny didn't talk about it much (he's the guy that stopped by our house and invited us, you know.) She didn't know if he "couldn't" talk about it or if he didn't want to 'cause his wife was right there and she's upset about it.

So I don't know much. Is there a website I can monitor where they post that info officially when it is made public?

Oh, I'd forgotten about the movie. Half the people I associate with day-by-day are AI folks. I don't like it, but...

No, not really. We don't get to see much of the fighting side of the Army - if that makes sense. Occasionally we'll get a part of a unit to participate in a test - operate the equipment and such - but that is rare. Especially now that so many are deployed.

But we do have helicopters flying around nearly every day. Some are involved with tests - others just deliver the occasional General to a meeting that he was too lazy to drive to (they land on the golf course...heh heh heh).
