FR must be swamped! It's loading very slowly for me (on 56K dialup).
This is wonderful news, in my opinion. We got a good guy! Just wishing my Dad wasn't at work so I could talk to him. He's been a fan of Ratzinger for years and years - since he first converted, I believe (my Dad, I mean).
It's going to take some getting used to, though...partly for that reason - that everyone knows who he is.
The next World Youth Day is this summer in Germany - this should make that very interesting! A few of my siblings are planning to go, if they can raise the travel costs in time.
The godless liberals are pissed at Ratzinger, so this is great news. I hope he starts out by whacking upside the heads of a few American bishops. He can start right here in Detroit.
Ok, fess up - who's been praying for me?
I've been struggling getting past some setup issues with the software I'm using for my project for about a week and a half now. And I've suddenly made a huge, hugh even, breakthrough this morning. This is for the class I was whinging about last night...
Heh...yeah, this is really ticking off liberals. And that's all good...
He's a very no-nonsense kinda guy, from what I know. Should be interesting to see how things pan out!
I'm unfortunately or not reminded of the Library Investigator Bookman from Seinfeld: "I remember when the librarian Pope was a much older woman man: Kindly, discreet, unattractive. We didn't know anything about her his private life. We didn't want to know anything about her his private life. She He didn't have a private life. "
Wonderful!
You didn't ping me? You think I have no contacts at all? ;~D
I'm thrilled with his selection.
Be careful what you ask for.
Absolutely!!
We all have, you got a problem with that? ;o)
No, I'm happy!
Now I think I just have one more setup problem to solve before I can actually, really start my project. Yay!
Heh!! Well I'm glad you're pleased!
What did you do? Did you say a rosary? Don't think I'm being silly when I ask the question, but it seems like such a momentous thing that I assume you do something momentous to mark it?
I think I told you about the Hispanic family I lived with while going to nursing school? The ones with tia (aunt) that had the white wooden floors in her kitchen and kids running in and out of the screen door?
Well, they took me to see their tia, but that's not all...I mean they took me everywhere with them! I learned so much culture just hanging around with them! They were Catholic and they had like a potluck dinner at this person's house and afterward they all went onto the porch and said Our Fathers and the Rosary (Hail Mary?). It was so very calm and interesting. I sat off to the side and just observed. It was a neat thing to watch.
Thank you!
Well, I hope I don't make too much noise... I'm going mowing! :~D
Heh, I've been too busy to whine! Finally got my tool working, so work on the project begins in earnest after Thursday's test.
And the sky is clearing. Wish I could be out in the sun.

must not comment...must not comment...must not comment...
I haven't been out yet. Still following media stuff about the conclave and the new pope. It's soooo nice to listen to /read about liberal whining.
Oh...and I MAY have another interview lined up. They really want A+ certification, though...which I could get easily but didn't before mostly because there weren't testing centers nearby, so we'll see.
If they decide to interview me anyway, that'll be Thursday afternoon.
