That's so inconsiderate! Heh, sometimes I left the house before anyone else was up and I would sneak out the back door because it made less noise. What kind of person - well, never mind.
Will this be known as "Magic Underwear Moot?"
Makes me think of the Mormon missionaries who live next to the department...
Oh - yeah! Thanks for reminding me! I'll bring the torture device with me so she has it there at the hotel and we don't forget!
Have fun, girls!
By prior agreement, I am not allowed to comment.
Take pictures!
Yep, that's like Halvah. I end up shaking the bowl so it's all centered...
Mostly she just gets upset if she can see *bowl bottom*, though. Eek!
Oh dear...
Perhaps we'd better leave this moot nameless!
Mum's the word!
Annoying it was. Annoyed I then became. Hope it happens again I do not. </Yoda-speak>
Yep, it was annoying. I was on hold for more than a half an hour before it came back up. I tried the disconnect/reset stuff a couple of times.
My question? Why am I paying for the most expensive service when it is the least reliable?
Yah... I lost my comcast service last night, more or less right after my last post. Looks like they must have had a pretty widespread problem. Annoying.
It's not just comcast though... they all have problems. DSL isn't any more reliable.
Even the really expensive stuff like T-1's at $1k/mo and even T-3's at $10k/mo still occasionally barf out. This is why all my offices have at least two connections, to two different providers. Even that isn't perfect, but total outages are now pretty rare.
I understand occasional outages. Comcast has been giving me a lot of problems lately. I'm still not sure they weren't my problem the other night with that website, even though they said they weren't.
Ah... those wonderful ATTBI DNS servers again. Even after a couple of years, it seems they're still playing catchup.
I'll have to make a list of alternate DNS server IP addresses to try in case it happens again.
I think it basically all stems from overselling ahead of infrastructure capacity. ATTBI took a core (and merely testbed) network built for 1500 test users, and ramped it up to over a million users in only a couple of months. Then mergers start happening, which actually ~slows~ the process of massive systems projects by causing all sorts of confusion and re-invention of departments.
They've just never caught up, and the overselling continues so the goal line keeps moving.
DSL providers are in the same box.
;-)
That's a pretty good idea.
