Good morning! We got to sleep in a bit today. Actually, I'm the only one up so far. Margaret's awake, I think, though. I goofed...thought I had the sound muted on the 'puter, but it make the Windows startup sound loud and proud, and Margaret (who's sleeping in the livingroom) gave me a very evil look before rolling over and laying down again. Oops...
More exploration on the agenda today - and Starbucks or something similar. I don't have a coffee pot (ended up leaving mine behind because it didn't fit well and I was afraid the pot would get broken), so for today, at least...we're goin' out for coffee. Need to do some shopping later, for odds and ends.
I have too much guilt for that... ;-)
Good! Call if you get lost! We'll look for you in the aerial photo maps on Google.
In the category of small successes, I was able to get Homer's drops in him this morning without the downers.
By tonight, he'll need a cleaning, which is another step and he might stress that without the downers, but it's good that he's had his morning treatment and is still awake to live the day!
Where were those again? I couldn't get to them yesterday - Comcast weirdness, I think.
I used a link 2J posted.
I think it's maps.google.
If you google "google maps" I bet it'll find it.
Our assessor actually has better aerials of this area than the sat photos... I think the really high res images I've seen examples of aren't available for all areas.
Good morning.
It is a downright gloomy, wet and dreary day here. Took all of my effort just to drag myself into work this morning.
Alyson stayed asleep all night long though, so I'm glad for that! :-)
Got to wear jeans today, which is always nice. We're moving from one side of the building to the other next week, so today is officially "packing day".
I.T. will be moving the phones and computers next week.
I need to check Sam's ears again. And the cat is losing fur like crazy...Nana's not around to brush her.
It's always somethin'...
Just goes to show ya...
Heh... is the cat going to survive?
Rosie is in the shower. I see we're going to need to coordinate morning things a little bit. I think Margaret went back to sleep.
Okay, a co-worker asked and I couldn't answer for sure.
She noticed that the world leaders were sitting in alphabetic order, according to the French language. Is that because French is the diplomatic language?
That's about what the dogs have to do around here to get fed. Gidget just paces between us, whining, then growling, then outright loud barking. ;~D
She's fat enough... I know darn well she isn't absolutely starving to death when she goes from content to frantic within 5 minutes.
Sam will just start banging his dish on the floor. Does it when he needs water too.
I yelled at Jr. the other day. I came home from work and the dog is immediately begging me for something. Jr. had been home three hours, had taken him for a walk, but hadn't given him food or water.
Homer just goes over and lays by his bowl.... whining.
He's really got the piteous act down pat, doesn't he?
I woke up this morning and couldn't find the cats. Looked all over for them, under furniture and in odd places. I finally found them both crammed in their travel crate in the closet. After all this time...wouldn't you think they'd be happy to be OUT of the crate for awhile?
That's fascinating, because I've always had to force-shove cats into those crates... but yours now think it's their most familiar place. They'll come around. Cats are fragile little personalities, they don't like change.
The crate smells like "home". ;)
Was wondering, how are the cats reacting to Jen, and vice-versa?
They've been out and around the rest of the place, and they aren't shy...but apparently they've decided it's a comfy place to sleep.
Tam's still sleeping. I peeked in on him again, and he gave me about the same look Margaret gave me earlier, so I left. ;-) Halvah's up and supervising matters here.
Jen left for school/work, and Margaret is finally up. I've been awake and wanting coffee for about three hours now...I actually didn't use the shower for awhile 'cause I didn't want to wake anyone up, but I think I waited toooo long and cut into Jen's prep time. I can be trained, however. Heh...
We'll be off in search of coffee shortly. I really need to get a coffee maker today!
