That's about what the dogs have to do around here to get fed. Gidget just paces between us, whining, then growling, then outright loud barking. ;~D

She's fat enough... I know darn well she isn't absolutely starving to death when she goes from content to frantic within 5 minutes.

Sam will just start banging his dish on the floor. Does it when he needs water too.

I yelled at Jr. the other day. I came home from work and the dog is immediately begging me for something. Jr. had been home three hours, had taken him for a walk, but hadn't given him food or water.

Back when I lived with my parents, we had a dog (Boston terrier) that we fed Purina Dog Chow. We always kept her dish full; if it started getting low, we'd pour some more in. Thing was, she only ate it when someone came home. Literally, when someone came in, she'd dance around, run to her dish, eat some food, come back and dance around some more, run back to her dish and eat a little more, etc. Otherwise, I never saw her touch the stuff.

I think she "got by" on all the scraps we fed her.
