Doh!! I got it now! Way cool!
Well, if they don't want to move out of San Fran, their housing costs must be horrendous! I suspect he likes the 'cachet' of the private school, anyway.
Ha ha!!
What gets me, and this is a bit of a rant...is supposedly Christian women that I encounter that say "I'd like to homeschool, but I just can't...I just don't have the patience."
Now if the Holy Spirit puts it on their heart enough for them to say "I'd like to"...then they ought to believe that they can do it! It's almost like they are saying "I'd like to do all things through Christ who strengthens me, I just can't."
Personally, I think they are being either dishonest, or disobedient. I run in to this at church all the time.
If I don't want to do something...I just say so. Drives Celeste crazy, but there it is. I either can, don't want to, or somebody won't let me. LOL
Besides, many h/sing moms admit that when their kids stop going to school, a lot of the stresses and causes for fights are gone. You don't have to hurry them out of bed to catch the bus, and you don't have to nag them to do their homework in the evenings when they and you are tired. You can do that first thing in the morning when everyone is well rested! ;o)
It does seem to be a much less harried life!
Just got a call from Wanda, our insurance agent secretary. She said she loved my blog! She said if I could get a repair shop to give me a quote saying the car is worth $2000, it would be about $3-4 more a month to get comprehensive insurance on the bug.
I don't know what that means, exactly...what is comprehensive? Whatever, I don't think the car is worth that much now, but when it is, (and it will be someday) we'll go ahead and get it insured.
"Comprehensive' is insurance of the bug itself for damage or loss. That's the insurance on the value of your car, as opposed to liability insurance for damage done by the car.
Comprehensive would be what you want right now. It covers stuff other than collision (which you don't need until you get it on the road). It would cover theft, fire, vandalism, chicken riots, tsunamis...
I'm heading home. My Mom's here to visit. We're gonna look at wedding pictures. ;-)
Rosie - glad you made it home.
Chicken riots!!! ROFLOL!
Good...that does sound like what we need. Eventually.
$2K must be the minimum.
Which means if it's damaged or anything is stolen now when it's worth less, it is probably covered with your regular homeowner's insurance without special coverage. They don't make you itemize everything... they assume a certain amount of tools, computers, jewelry, even guns, and other items that would be in any house.
Oh, well that's good then!
I love my Beetle! I can't wait till this weekend when we get to work on it and go to the club and talk to other VW owners who don't think I've slightly lost my mind!
;-)
Well, at least about the bug ;~D
I won't mention the chickens...
Hi all!
Rosie, glad to see that y'all made the trip okay.
I had to - eek - to town today.
OB - Passed by yer place (one of yer places?) on 12th street on the way to the Mariott. Hobbitses don't like big places. They're too full of mazes and caverns. Plus my Mapquest "reverse route" was blocked by construction. Got a nifty USB flash drive, though.
Hi OT! How are you?
Got a headache. Don't feel like cooking but fortunately there's plenty of left-overs.
Can't decide whether to go to bed early so as to watch the funeral at 3:00 AM.
