Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And take the hidden paths that run...
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yeah, but it gives me a nice little kick start in the morning. I don't really drink it any other time. And I drink decaf soda (Diet Riot).
I just love my morning coffee...just two cups and I'm off and running.

Yeah, it probably would...I had it down to about 1/8th strength and did just fine...actually lost interest in it all together. But then I thought "Oh phooey on it" (or something along those lines) and went back to my two cups! LOL!
Steve started bringing in back into the bedroom again and just smelling it makes waking up so nice!

Hey, I keep meanin' to tell ya...I have the name and address of the motel where we'll be staying during the wedding doin's. Want me to FReepmail you with that info?
I should be free all of April 14th and part of the 17th, BTW. Maybe some of the 15th as well, though the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner is that night. The wedding is the 16th.

OK - Well.... Terri has died. I'm gonna avoid the forum for awhile.
To: RosieCotton
Yes, FRMail it to me... Will you have your cell phone with you too? You have any idea yet if you'll want us to pick you up and bring you here for a visit, or just out for a lunch moot? You're welcome to stay here any nights too if that will save you $$$.
To: RosieCotton
I'm counting on you being my hiking partner out here! I just can't go alone - I'd just worry too much - but with a friend along, I want to do lots of hiking this summer. Plenty of close hikes and maybe a few where we drive up the night before. When my little sister comes out I hope to take a long weekend and get out to Aspen - they have some of the most magnificent mountains there!
Murgh. I have a feeling it's going to be a double-caffeine morning.

I gotta log off too for a while, the boys are up, we have to start school, and my cut finger is hurting. I think I may just go ahead and visit my physician, because he might want to start me on antibiotics. It's only $5 more.
So on a rather subdued note, I'll see you all later.

I didn't bring any espresso this morning. Should have.
At least I have an extra Dr. Pepper.

I'll have the whole day on Thursday, so if you're available, I'd love to meet the "family" and all...at least briefly.
Don't have a need for a place to stay any nights since it turns out my family is coming for a few extra days, too. The airfare was enough cheaper that way to make it worth it for them, and I ain't complainin'!

Do I understand we're going to the Grand Canyon for our next Entmoot? Rafting the Canyon is my suggestion for Entmoot 2008. To celebrate my 50th birthday. I've been dreaming of it for a long time.
Might as well go with folks I like.

OK - I'll plan on pickin' you up on Thursday! :~D
I hope we have lovely weather. I feel like the place is a little dismal today, it's been raining and the yard is kindof a mess of windblown branches and my reseeding project.
