New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
You're making progress!
Ugh, I know it's Monday when I'm not even halfway down the hall to my office and DemonLady starts accosting me. Got her squared away, though.
Now that's a treat!! Had they seen the eggs before? Did they like the beetles, and how did they like YOUR little car?
Been there, done that, and don't envy you the decisions you have to make. You and the Missus will be in my prayers.
The Lord's there, Rosie! And He sent Jen ahead so's you'd have a friend there and someplace to live while you're getting on your feet! See how good He is?
You'll be on the Parish Prayer list this week, so there will be lots of prayers being said for you next weekend when the list is printed in the bulletin.
Prayers will be going up for Nana's surgery tomorrow, too!
No, they haven't been here since last Easter, so it was thrilling to them! I even fetched the eggs while they watched and they squealed with delight when they saw their "own eggs" fresh from the nest box. LOL
They liked my car, but it smells pretty bad and they didn't want to stick around too much. When I gave them the little cars, I told the oldest "I know you're a little girl and maybe don't play with cars, but you can just look at this one and think of my car when you do!" She said "I play with cars!" and immediately took it into the kitchen to roll it on the floor! LOL (If you pull it back slightly, it will shoot clear across the kitchen, which was a big hit.)
So it went well.
Yeah, Rosie's gonna have to find some internet cafes along the way so that she can keep us up to date on her progress! Aren't Starbucks stores all wired?
They introduced a new character last week, a man who donated 100 million to the hospital with the stipulation that he be made the head of the Board of Directors. He's big into clinical trials, and House thinks that will make the patients nothing but lab rats. The conflict has been set up; can't wait to see how it plays out.
My flight leaves at 7:30 tonight.
Still don't feel like doing anything...
Sounds like a more thrilling Easter morning than they probably would have gotten at home!
Heh...yeah, I guess so. It's partly cloudy here now but they're predicting more storms for this evening.
Can you grow nandina in Kansas City? I uprooted a small one to bring back but I think I'll pot it and bring it inside during winters.
I googled Nandina 'cause I've never heard of it. It's a gorgeous plant, USDA guidelines say Zones 6-9; we're Zone 5 so bringing it inside during the winter is a good idea.
Have a good trip back here!
Doing nothing is a good thing to do, especially if you've got good people to do nothing with.
Hey, I found a tool in the road again yesterday. Not a biggy, a little standard screwdriver bit...for a drill, you know?
There was traffic coming and I jumped back in the car pretty fast and beamed my head on the roof of the car, you know, where the door shuts? Nearly knocked myself senseless!
Got a tender spot on my scalp today!
Alleluia! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!
Our own Easter celebration was joyous and exhilarating. My family was formally received into the parish I have been serving, so there was a special personal element of joy to mix in with the gladsome tidings and exhaltation of the Day.
In Christ,

Sister has to leave for a rehearsal at 1:30 so it'll be just me 'n the cats for the rest of the afternoon.
I think they all have wireless, but I don't have a wireless card for my laptop yet. Doubtful I'll find time to get one setup before we leave, but maybe.
Otherwise I'll just call a Hobbit Holer or two to update the rest of the gang!
Stop at a Best Buy before checking into the hotel first night. They take about five minutes to install. Or you can just call me, of course...
It's not worth getting killed, or gettting your car wrecked, for a 69 cent tool. But you did everyone a favor by picking up a road hazard.
I should now, I got a flat tire by driving over a spark plug gauge. Put a two-inch gash in the tire.
Or both!
I'm afraid the first day I may be far too shaken up to do anything but pull into the hotel parking lot, but we'll see! That's the day of getting TO I-80...should be fairly easy after that point, though we'll hit heavy traffic in some parts of OH, I'd guess.
