Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And take the hidden paths that run...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Oh I know. Didn't mean to imply that no one else knew music.
In other news, there's a contemporary Christian band that wants to play this summer at the pool (for free). They're looking for a lead male singer.
I briefly thought about talking to them until I came to my senses and thought "Why on earth would I consider adding something else to my schedule"....

You're too old to run off with a rock band?

Now ask me if I can, or ever could, actually play the piano...
I am going to resist any smart-alecky comment about the band thing.

Well, I didn't run off and join a band, but I did save some money on my car insurance. ;-)
Just talked to my agent and ~fortunately~ I don't have to add Jr. on until he actually has his license. Right now, he's covered as long was we're in the car with him.

That's good!
I know my Dad is dreading the day Stephen gets his license, which should be pretty soon...that's gonna hurt.

Hah, I'm pretty sure my oldest brother, who's sixteen, doesn't get to learn to drive this year... of course, he's majorly irresponsible and the only car he could learn on is the Expedition, so I'm thinking he may be 21 and paying someone to teach him to drive...

Question for ya...
I have to go to the post office today to have my mail forwarded. If I were to forward it to the new address, what would happen if something got there in the next three days or so? Not that it's likely mail would get there that fast, but...
I COULD probably forward it to the house and then change it to the CO address, but since it's only a few weeks, I wonder if it's worth it.

I'll be changing my mailing address sometime this week, so I'd think it'll come to the new one. Not really sure...

I may not get the relay I am driving today. There are some minor things that bother me (i.e. exterior paint has a scratch here and there.). There are also some things that need to be changed out before I would buy it, like a tear in the third row, a messed up headset, a broken notch on the disk holder. The latter things are 15 minute fixes, but the scratched paint really bothers me.
Here is a photo of it from the Saturn website.

Woo Hoo! Nice ride! I went to the Saturn website and noticed that there is a split rear seat. Are those individually removable? IOW Can you take one of the rear seats and out and leave the other in place? Is it a 50/50 split or a 60/40?
