Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And take the hidden paths that run...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I want out of here. Tis a glorious day. In a few hours I'll be driving south, stopping for Popeye's and maybe at Borders, on the way to my concert...

Whoa! That sould be a lot of fun! Are you flying into Springfield or Kansas City?
SSQ's sister and b-i-l live just outside of KC, and I thought I'd combine a trip to see them with shootmoot, but don't think I can do it. Our cousin reunion is the following weekend, and I didn't want to be gone too many weekends during prime construction season!

Well, look on the bright side! It's the day AFTER the closing, so you'll have money to fix your tooth! ;o)

Hopefully! Well...I guess I'm being overly pessimistic, but after talking to the realtor today, I'm a bit bewildered by all the fees that will be subtracted. Eek!

I gotta tell you what happened here last night! Give me your thoughts!
Last night, right before dark, this young girl, maybe mid-teens came up to the door of our house. I saw her walk up the sidewalk through our sheers. She just stood in front of the door. I waited for her to knock, but she never did...just stood there! I asked her what she wanted through the door and she didn't say a word. I could see her through the peep hole. I said "Who is it?" and she said "It's me" very softly! I asked her "Can I help you with something?" She stood there for a few seconds more, then shrugged and wandered off. She stood out in the road by the stop sign for a while, then wandered slowly down the street.
She didn't look in any distress, but it sure was strange. I called 911. I wondered if she might be confused or something. Don't know what came of it but it sure was freaky!

LOL!! I know it. Don't think it escaped me!
She really acted out of it. Just like she expected the door to open any second on it's own. But she never knocked. Just stood facing the door.
Weird.

Seems rather obvious that she couldn't remember the password... That's because Sir Cadogan changes the password every few days, so of course she can't remember... hmm, I think I spent too much time on the "HP is EEEEvilllll!" thread today.
Yay! Time to go to Denver. See everyone tomorrow.

And now in the realm of Too Much Information...
Friday has traditionally been pizza and movie night at our house for prolly 10-12 years. So wife is out tonight working on the children's clothing consignment sale at church.
I asked Nana if she could eat pizza.
"Well, I love it, but I shouldn't eat it. But I could eat a piece and then take a laxative..."
I DON'T NEED DETAILS!!!!! It was a Yes or No question!!!
Make no mistake about it. This halo has been earned.

You know, before Jen got me thinking about ghosts, I thought she might be a protitute! Like she got the wrong house and just expected someone to be watching for her!
