Schadenfreude

I was unaware up until this point that there was a German word meaning "happiness at the misfortune of others" The Word is "SCHADENFREUDE". What makes it ironic is that it is the only national language in the world to have a word for such a subject. Who else thinks there should be an American word for this?
TOPICS: Humor
KEYWORDS: abusemeplease; child; dangimbored; growathickerskinpal; hehatescheese; iamthewanderer; kittenkiller; schadenfreude; sheestenfinster; soontobebanned; stupidvanity; uneducatedkid

Then you need to find the old adventure game and spend endless hours figuring out how to get the babelfish in your ear

sung to the tune of "the yellow rose of texas"
Because I could not stop for Death,
He kindly stopped for me;
The carriage held but just ourselves
And Immortality.
We slowly drove, he knew no haste,
And I had put away
My labor, and my leisure too,
For his civility.
We passed the school where children played,
Their lessons scarcely done;
We passed the fields of gazing grain,
We passed the setting sun.
Or rather He passed us.
The dews drew quivering and chill
For only gossamer, my gown,
My tippet, only tulle.
We paused before a house that seemed
A swelling of the ground;
The roof was scarcely visible.
The cornice but a mound.
Since then 'tis centuries; but each
Feels shorter than the day
I first surmised the horses' heads
Were toward eternity.

You can sing almost everything Emily Dickenson wrote to the tune of the Yellow Rose of Texas...which is one reason I successfully managed to dodge ever studying her in college...
