KID ROCK BLASTS OUTSPOKEN STARS
KID ROCK has attacked celebrities who offer their opinions on the war in Iraq, because he doesn't think stars are intelligent enough to publicly criticise the US President.
The Republican rap-rock star admits he's the last person who should comment on political matters and, though he doesn't always agree with President GEORGE W BUSH, he does support the commander-in-chief and troops fighting for Iraq's freedom.
In a new interview with PLAYBOY magazine, Kid Rock - real name BOB RITCHIE - attacks stars like DIXIE CHICK NATALIE MAINES and feminist comic-turned-anti-Bush radio host JANEANE GAROFALO for thinking they know better than the President.
He rages, "I'm not educated enough to speak about it (the war), and I don't think any of these other motherf**kers are, either.
"I'm pretty sure Janeane Garofalo's and that chick from the Dixie Chicks' educations don't stretch that far.
"Look up CONDI RICE or GEORGE BUSH's education, where they went to school. They've been doing this shit their whole f**king lives, while we've been out dicking around with guitars, entertaining people.
"F**kers in Hollywood who want to use the camera to be like, 'Guess who I'm f**king now?' and 'Oh, stop the war!' - all that shit just makes me sick."
"You are confusing hypocrisy with enlightenment."
Very well said, LOD!
Bingo... though many on this thread missed that point, and take his words for some sort of conservative gospel.
If all it takes to be loved on FR is a couple of insults thrown to liberal entertainers, we will see a lot more 'converts'. Oh wait, it is already happening.
While it's nice that he's not anti-Bush like Michael Moore, I don't see Kid Rock as a real asset to the Republican Party. It just shows that even out of it Americans can have more sense than supposedly with-it Europeans.
Kid Rock is open about who is he. Why should anyone be surprised when he acts true to himself. He is a rocker, a biker, etc. He also happens to be pro-America.
I can't understand why some people think everyone should fit the Ward Cleaver mold to be a conservative.
No, that would not make you a hypocrite. You would only be a hypocrite if you mocked a 19 year old with that same opinon today. Changing your mind is not the issue
If this was the only statement he had made since 9/11, I would say, fine, you are right. But he has made many, others. Those statements have been made with deeds, not words.
Maybe you should do a google search on what he has done for our military and the support he has given them. You may be surprised. Match his words with his deeds--nothing hypocritical.
I am a novice (but improving) guitarist and have begun writing music and lyrics with a right-wing message. Musically, they're comparable to most 80s hard rock or metal. Not Christian rock but much milder and less offensive than Kid Rock or the Nuge (who I admire both as a musician and as a man). No band, I'm just having a little fun and hey, if I did have a band and made something of it then great.
You are clueless. People like Kid Rock, Hatebreed, Metallica, open the door to new generations of young voters who might otherwise be swayed by liberal hip hop artists or other commie entertainers.
Like it or not, marketing your ideas is almost as important as your ideas themselves. If you are bad at marketing, your message is worthless because no one will ever hear it.
Kid Rock is just paraphrasing quotes from Alice Cooper. Don't expect too many original thoughts coming out of the kid's brain.
With that said.... I want to be a COWWWWW-BOY baaaaaaby!
I know he is right. So do a lot of other people. Use of foul language isn't necessary.
Get Iced Earth - "Glorius Burden"
Some of it will almost make you shiver it is so powerful.
Declaration Day is a masterpiece.
Guess that means I am a hypocite to the nth degree when I tell my kids "Because I said so" LOL!
Can't tell you how many times I swore I would never do that!
LOL - I happen to like Kid Rock - I don't expect much from Rock Stars but he's a leader and not a follower of the mainstream hollywierd stars.
Got the CD. Ripper rules!!
Yes, I am male. And no, if I were banging Pamela I wouldn't be discussing the Fair Tax or the War on Terror... ;-)
You should also get Hatebreed - Perseverance. Very uplifting powerful brutal stuff.
Its amazin when you see the lead singer is a little guy. His voice is monsterous!
I second that!
I have it and I agree.
I hated the fact that they removed him from the inauguration events, only to get major egg on their faces when the "replacement" band leader dropped the f-bomb anyway, which was what they were trying to avoid in the first place.
I don't see how. Do you tell other kids not to listen to their parents, but expect yours to? Where is the hypocricy? Children are not adults and do not need to be treated the same way. There is no hypocricy in your telling your kids they cannot do things or have things that you, as an adult, have.
