Welcome to Free Republic.

Before you troll; it's usually best to think your point through to a logical conclusion. Taking the 'Right to Smoke' is a bogus statement, for I defy you to show me where you have the 'Right to Smoke' in the Consistution. You may have an implied belief your smoking is covered by the Right to pursue Happiness, but then you also have the fact that 'Rights' do not infringe upon others. For example, I have the 'Right to Free Speech', however my rights do not demand that you listen. I have the right to print what I wish, provided my writing does not deny another their rights (privacy, libel and slander).

By claiming the 'Right' to smoke, you are claiming the right to demand that others tolerate the smell (see right to never bathe), and to fill in for the time you will miss from work (smokers have a statistically higher rate of sick days than non-smokers) as well as subsidize your hospital care (again, smokers tend to get lung cancer, emphasema and heart problems at a higher rate than non-smokers). Thus, your 'RIGHT' not only denies me my rights (I do my job and yours too), and my money (because you demand that I subsidize you through increased insurance rates for your increased medical expenses).

No one is as unforgiving of the personal weakness you have, the inability to recognize a problem as a problem, and the psychological addiction you have, as an EX-Smoker. I smoked a pack and a half a day, for 15 years. I quit, why can't you?

You KNOW smoking isn't doing you any good, you KNOW it will kill you, you KNOW your family will miss you when you go, and you know that you will exhause your family's financial resources in the hospital before you die; so WHY are you doing this?

(I do my job and yours too)

Not only that but you are WAY good at the fake anti-smoker talking point rant.

By the way, your tagline is grammatically incorrect twice.

Still beating that one-note drum?
No one has ever provided any such "statistics" from a neutral source. As for certain (as in definite) higher risks, heart disease (fat people) and AIDS (perverts) have a much higher incidence of certain health problems, yet they are untouchable.

Why is that?

"Taking the 'Right to Smoke' is a bogus statement, for I defy you to show me where you have the 'Right to Smoke' in the Consistution."

Do you believe that the constitution only points out the rights we have? Do you believe the government grants us rights?

"By claiming the 'Right' to smoke, you are claiming the right to demand that others tolerate the smell..."

Please name one scenario in which you are "forced" to tolerate the smell of tobacco smoke. How about giving an example of other offensive smells that you are forced to tolerate. Should we ban all offensive smells?

Our rights are not granted to us by the Constitution. The Constitution may serve to protect our rights, but our rights are granted to us by the fact that we are human beings. The 9th Amendment of the Constitution recognizes this fact.

By claiming the 'Right' to smoke, you are claiming the right to demand that others tolerate the smell (see right to never bathe)

How does having a right to smoke demand that others tolerate the smell? Are you forced to go to the homes of people who smoke? Are you forced to patronize businesses that allow smoking? Are you forced to talk to smokers who may smell of cigarette smoke?

... and to fill in for the time you will miss from work (smokers have a statistically higher rate of sick days than non-smokers).... Thus, your 'RIGHT' not only denies me my rights (I do my job and yours too)....

While this may or may not be true, parents also spend more time away from work than those without children. Would you propose that people stop having children? The point is that we all make lifestyle choices that may or may not affect other people. Who is to say that the right to make one choice is less important than the right to make another?

I smoked a pack and a half a day, for 15 years. I quit, why can't you?

Congratulations! I'm sure your success is an inspiration to those who know you. What I don't understand is why you make yourself out to be a better person than those who chose to not quit or those who would like to quit, but cannot. Putting people down is not a good motivational technique and really diminishes your success.
