If you, personally, were ROUTINELY called STUPID somewhere, would you honestly go there? Would you praise the place? Would you?
Do you know what I hate about people who call others dumb? Most of those Freepers who do this often would never dream of insulting a mentally retarded person for not being able to do math or even tie his shoes. When it comes down to it, anyone who notices that another might have a lower IQ than himself and openly denigrates that person is simply CRUEL.
You treated Mr. Hannity with pure unkindness here. Deal with the response.
How dumb can a guy be if he works like a beaver his whole youth and achieves his dreams? He is a Marconi-winning broadcaster, author of successful books, has a great wife and kids. By every account he is a religious and friendly person.
He's in public expressing his views, and he is a hockey player, so he can handle taking hits.
But you, Freepers, are in "public" here too, and you make the choice whether to use the wonderful Internet with human decency or not. Too many of you use the tools of screennames and clever vocabulary in order to insult and disparage, rather than to enlighten or inform.
I will try to listen to him for awhile until I get tired of him again.

I've checked with 25 man-on-the-street types today, and not one of them can tell me who Sean Hannity is.....though one guy came close when he told me it was the name of his pest management company.
Am I the only one that didn't take the "fringe" comment that generally? It seemed specific to me.
We all know that virtually anything can get slammed on a board as big as ours. To us it has little impact. Some second assistant to the Third Producer reads one thread with one page of comments claiming the Rush/Sean/Dubya isn't a True-Conservative/Good-Analyst/Border-Protector/Patriot and forms an opinion about content or posters of the site with no real background of the whole history and ebb and flow of the site itself.
Then somebody posts a dumb vanity thread and says, Hey look what Howard Stern, Rush, Sean, or whoever said about US and a whole lot of posters jump in and say, I know You Are, But What am I, or words to that effect. Such threads have little or nothing to do with the site in general or its mission.
We should ignore these off-hand comments for what they are, off-hand comments and concentrate on the real action.
