Maybe if Dan19 got married - to a man or woman - he'd have less time to populate this forum with worthless vanities.

Keep in mind that homosexuality was a mental illness until the early 80s when the gays got political and lobbied to have it removed from psychology as a mental illness.

Based on the trouble I see many of their types getting into (including screwing up solid relationships for others), it was wrong to remove it as a mental illness from the abnormal psychology books. They have big problems IMO.

I have no opinion on homosexual "marriage" because it does not exist. Marriage is between a man and a woman. Two people of the same sex cannot get married, per the definition of marriage.

I'm against homosexuals. Who isn't?

This homo topic shouldn't even be discussed.

It's hard to be for or against something that doesn't even exist. Marriage isn't marriage if it's between anything else but a man and a woman.

There is no such thing as homosexual marriage. Marriage is a union between a man and a woman.
This union is recognized by God as a representation of the the union between Christ and His church. The religious aspect.
Recognized by the state as a contract to establish the family unit to protect children. The secular aspect.

I am against any legislation that endorses unnatural and immoral behavior. I am not in any position to judge or condemn anyones personal choices or sexual preferences, but I strongly support protecting the Sanctity of traditional Marriage between a man and a woman.

I have no problem with civil unions for Gays, and I also believe they should be able to obtain any kind of insurance coverage for their partners.

I also believe that the Gay Marriage movement is not about civil rights for Gays, it's about marginalizing the Christian beliefs that led to our Declaration of Independence in 1776 and the foundation of our Constitution.

Homosexuality is not a natural act, and only represents a very small segment of our society. They deserve the protection the Bill of Rights affords them, but we must never compromise the Christian beliefs this great Nation was founded on.

"If you want to be free, there is but one way; it is to guarantee an equally full measure of liberty to all your neighbors. There is no other. "

Carl Schurz (1829 - 1906)

I think that the business of the individual should remain the business of the individual until it becomes the business of the state. Gay marriage isn't a threat to conventional marriage, it's an issue of individual belief and therefore none of the government's business. Let the homosexuals get married. If they go to hell for it that's no skin off my back.

Against legal recreational sex. It's a ploy to shove an agenda down others throats. Gays are free to do as they like with one another but they have not the right to force others to approve/accept it. I'm not gay bashing. Marriage was meant for procreating couples.

For civil unions, against marriage.

I have known enough gays over the years to become convinced that their sexuality wasn't a matter of choice. They played the cards they were dealt. It is mainly the more conservative gays who want marriage/civil unions, so try it state by state.

One of the reasons that I am bothered by the idea of gay marriage is that I don't want to see an inevitable consequence: spectacular gay marriages produced by gay set designers, choreographers, male dancers, singers, florists etc. Marriage is very often about creating children. Creating good children is extremely important to society, while creating extravaganzas with good production values is not. Keep the focus where it belongs.

The State has no business regulating marriages of any type.

When it is 2 members of the same sex, it's not/can't be "marriage".

If 2 people want to enter into a contractual agreement (i.e. civil union) they can do so. Get a lawyer and draw up an agreement.

A union of the same sex is not marriage no matter how you dress it up. Marriage by it's very nature is m/f.

I am in favor of getting the government out of ALL marriages. How people arrange their private lives is no business of the government's.
