I hate to say it but, she'd cost us some electoral votes in the Deep South.

(Just my opinion, of course. Your mileage may vary.)

I don't know about that. You think some (conservative) southerners would vote for Hillary over Dr. Rice? Some undoubtedly would, but enough to swing some states?

You think folks in South would vote for Hillary instead?
You think the Blacks in South would vote against Condi?

She's black and pro-choice. I hate to say it, but she doesn't have a prayer to win the Republican nomination.

I disagree. The OLD South is not the NEW South. The fact that she is black would be a huge asset...........

I hate to say it but, she'd cost us some electoral votes in the Deep South. I disagree with this. I think that there would be some votes lost in the "deep south" but I don't think entire states would go that way. I also think that she has an upside in the South as she is one of theirs. Those refusing to vote for someone based on their race or gender will be left behind eventually anyway; let us all look at her accomplishments and the contributions she can make and decide on that. When the choice is framed this way she will do well and she's earned it.

I do not believe that. There are more black legislatures in the South than there is in the North East.
I think she is really sharp but... does she have something in her closet that has not been vetted yet?
Is she gay? Can anyone say for sure?
Just asking.

Maybe, maybe not. I believe Dr. Rice is very qualified for the position of president. I believe that her position of Provost for Sanford university would help make up for the lack of experience in fiscal matters. The only down side I can see to the equation is her lack of an elected office. I believe that she would be able to bring the House and the Senate to heel, post haste. I might even suggest she could even force the male Senators and Representatives to find certain parts of their anatomy they seem to be missing thus far. I have no doubt that Dr. Rice does not suffer fools gladly would let them know what is expected of them and hold them accountable.
Given four years of exposure, Dr. Rice has the opportunity to make herself known to the black base. I don't think Hillary has the appeal to that base her husband had. Given the choice to vote for Dr. Rice or HRC, I think with the exception of the hard core slaves on the entitlement plantation, blacks might give lip service to the Beast, but in the privacy of the both vote for Dr. Rice. She has yet to play her race card yet, which has the potential to be very moving. Remember one of her close childhood friends was a victim of the bombing in Birmingham.
I don't think the women's vote would be quite the lock Hillary thinks. Just from personal experience among friends and acquaintances most find Hillary unpalatable. She is coarse, grasping and not the face that a lot of people would choose to represent us in the world. Dr. Rice's educated, dare I say ladylike persona resonates with many who think that the coarsening of our political culture does not bode well for the Democrats. Most Americans find the trash talk and gutter politics off putting. I think Dr. Rice would pick up far more votes than she would lose because of her race.
