I'm not sure what you're asking. I'm very computer illiterate:) But this is what it should look like when you post

<img src="http://url of the picture" height="130" width="150">

No matter the size of the picture from where you are hosting it from it will post on FR at a good size for FR. You can change the numbers to change the size. Just preview it till you get it where you want.

I wanted to say, it's great to have those plants. I love to garden but I only started really planting for the birds 2 years ago. I notice it brings in so many more varieties. This year my plants should be more mature and I'm really looking forward to seeing more visitors!

Last spring I planted two rows of birds, but nothing grew. Maybe it's the fertilizer....

OMG!
That's awful,
but uproariously funny.

Thanks. I really appreciate that you all try to help me figure this out. I read about it and sometimes just don't get it. I'll try it again. I'm sure it's easier than cropping them all down.

Thanks. :) It's much better than taking up so much space in a thread.

This may be a stupid question but how to birds find birdfeeders? I put one out a couple of days ago. It has seed as well as suet in it but so far no birds have found it yet. Any ideas on how I can attract the birds to it?

Maybe your planting them too deep?

Just the same, you'll probably have better success in your garden when planting something else. LOL

I didn't plant those plants, they were already there, when we moved in and i like them, because the grapes are very sweet and delicious and we like filberts.

I am now looking into planting more plants that will invite more birds into our yard.

This thread is really great getting ideas and tips on what to plant and how to attract more birds.

Thanks again sweetliberty for starting this thread.

Did you ever dream that your thread would get over 500 replies?

It's a success,IMO.

"I have grapes and filberts in my back yard, that seem to attract birds, but not nearly as much or many different species you have in your yards with feeders."

I never realized there were so many different kinds of feeders. With enough kinds of feeders and the right kinds of plantings, I would think you could attract an incredible variety of birds.

I need to do a little research on Roadrunners. We have them here and I have seen several, but not in my yard. I read up on them back a long time ago when I lived in the desert for a couple of years, but I've forgotten about their habits and what they like to eat. I took this a few months ago, and it was in a residential neighborhood near here. Not too clear, but you can definitely tell what it is. There were 2 of them, and they didn't seem very timid at all.

I ordered a window bird feeder here:
http://www.bestnest.com/bestnest/window_bird_feeders.asp

which allows me to watch the birds up close.

The other two large feeders are on high poles.

I also have 2 feeders for squirrels mounted on the fence.

I love watching the birds and squirrels.

It can take a while for them to find them. Just leave them out.

I really enjoy seeing the Nuthatches and their antics.

That's a perfect picture!

(Loved the 'incoming' chickadee, too!)

The Nuthatch is one bird I haven't seen around here.

We have 3 or 4 different graphics programs on this beast. Sometimes I have to use more than one to adjust a pic the way I want.

Gee, I'm glad everyone has the same 'duh' problem in the morning that I do!

About 2 years ago I had a road runner in my arena. That is the only time I have seen one anywhere around here. It took me awhile to even figure out what I was seeing:). It was running up and down the fence line, and was hard to see, because it blended in with the dirt. I thought it was so cool. But I know that was what it was.
