(PRWEB) February 4, 2005 -- With only days remaining until the biggest event in professional sports, sportsbook.com football fans have overwhelmingly picked the New England Patriots as their favourite for Super Bowl XXXIX.
But - sportsbook.com betting trends show the following states as strong Philadelphia Eagles supporters:
* Florida
* Nevada
* Delaware
* Hawaii
* Iowa
* New Jersey
* Pennsylvania
In addition, sportsbook.com shows several states are still sitting on the fence, with a 50-50 split decision, including:
* Vermont
* North Carolina
* Idaho
"This really isn't surprising based on the way the Patriots have been performing, but I would expect several states including New York and Michigan to swing towards the Eagles by game time," said Alex Czajkowski, Marketing Director, Sportsbook.com. "We will continue to track the trends as the big day quickly approaches."
In addition to betting on the straight winner, sportsbook.com offers over 700 different props and odds for Super Bowl. These props and odds run from the first play of the game, to the end, and everything in between.

/sarcasm.
With Jersey and Nevada going for Philly I wouldn't give up so fast.
They're getting a lot more respect than the Pats were before the Colt game.
LETS GO PATS!!!
I've never heard a team cry more about getting "no respect" than the universally adored media poster boys from New England. You wouldn't expect an unbeatable dynasty like the Pats to have to manufacture an "us against the world" attitude for such a big game.
I heard Freddie Mitchell couldn't name the capital of Massachusetts when asked by reporters. Just in case the Patriots defense didn't have enough reason to tackle him when he has the ball on Sunday.
You mean the same media that all but guaranteed that Peyton Manning would rip the Pats apart a few weeks ago?
Not only that, but their fans don't think that highly of the team either. Most of the talk before the Colts games was of the weather, how Manning would not be able to handle the cold and snow. Only a hand full of posters knew or talked about the Pats players.
If the big money starts to move the line down, I'll jump on it and take the points.
