HELP!!! I need computer music technogeek!!!

Posted on 02/01/2005 3:49:06 PM PST by Hillary's Lovely Legs

I need serious help. I need to record 33 seconds of a song from my computer to a cd and I have no clue how to just record a portion of a song.

Does anyone out there know how I can accomplish this?

I have MusicMatch, Burn and Go, Roxio, and Winplayer.

I am now massively screwed. I tried to play my mp3 on freerecorder, and now it's a broken link and off of my computer. WHAT DO I DO?

Not sure why it would disappear.

Try doing a search on the file

Start Button >> Search (on filename)

A legendary computer music technogeek:

www.wendycarlos.com

Not sure if she gives advice, but her website may have some useful info.

And the beauty of Windows Movie Maker is that it doesn't actually delete the portion of the movie that you don't want to see.....it just "hides" it. You can recover the "hidden" portion of the video at any time in the future.

It's gone. Even a search doesn't bring it up. I found it in my download manager and it's a dead link. In MusicMatch it says Broken Link.

I am searching all over the net for this and I found a portion of it on an MTV site but I can't download it.

It's called DEAN GOES NUTS Remix by Jonathan Strong. I am desperate. I mean REALLLLLY desperate!

Freecorder is not designed to play mp3s. It is designed to record mp3s after you have started the music using some OTHER mp3 player such as Windows Media Player. It kinda sounds like you have recorded blank sound over the original mp3 then exited the program, which would wipe out the song.

It is difficult for me to identify Johnathan Strong. What is the file size of that clip, if you remember?

There are many dean goes nuts things. It's dean's scream/speech with techno backups. In my favorite his screams are actually in time with the background music.

If it doesn't fit on my server we'll have to exchange email addresses in FReepmail so that I can email it to you. I know your FReep nickname and you can look at my posts/sign up date if you have doubts in your mind about me. :-)

It is uploading to my server right now. It'll take a couple of minutes. Just as soon as the upload finishes I'll post a link.

However, I can assure you that there is a much better techno remix that is available.

I found this site http://deanremixes.com/10-8-04-index.php

but all the links are dead.

I need that Jon Strong mix because after 33 secs it says MICHIGAN and then I am going to go into a differnt song. If you want to send other versions I would be happy to try them out.

You are a life saver. Thank you so much.

What kind of song?

"Country music" is difficult to replicate electronically due to it's extreme ignorance.
