That's what I was going to say. Maybe us northerners pay more for housing...but our wages are a lot higher too. Well, if it all comes out in the wash, I still prefer the rural south. Commutes are usually shorter and property taxes are lower.

Have you done any searches for the Cape Girardeau area?
To: Conservababe
The nearst MEMS facilities are in Michigan and Illinois.

And that's why it's vital she die, to stop a precedent that could end the right to die for everyone.Nonsense. A living will or power of attorney for health care or--in the absence of written instructions--courts that properly recognize equity ("Justice applied in circumstances covered by law yet influenced by principles of ethics and fairness") would have prevented what in this case is murder by starvation while preserving the "right to die" you cherish.

You wish. I shall be collecting your Social Security contributions well into the time when generations not yet conceived are entering their golden years.
So keep working.

*sigh* I was afraid of that.

"These yankees need to move south. Here is what $369,000 would buy around my neck of the woods" Sssshhhhhh.....we don't want too many people knowing about it or it'll start looking like California and New York.

I would cherish a "Right-To-Die" if I could get one, but all that is available is Right-To-Starvation like this woman.

Not sure that's you thing, but not bad for a first look in a relatively low populous area. One advantage here for people with skills and/or education is that there are a lot of people who have neither.

Why are people so afraid to die? SO9 I believe it is YOU who are afraid to die, hence all the hysterics about HOW you will die.

I'm not afraid to die, I am only afraid to die slowly and painfully to salve the conscience of the pecksniffs who won't let it happen quickly.
I don't want to be filled with tubes, and I have a living will to handle that, now give me the courtesy of letting someone fill me full of morphine when it is time and end it fast.

*SMOOCH*Nice to see you, catpuppy. Where you been keeping yourself? I was starting to think that some of them beach bunnies made off with you...or that Nully and Gran had cooked up some dastardly scheme that kept you unavoidably detained.

You'll get your morphine, usually self admistered by an iv. Now don't take too much or you will be unable to blow your head off to end your life more quickly.

You'll get your morphine, usually self admistered by an iv. Now don't take too much or you will be unable to blow your head off to end your life more quickly. Not good enough. If I am unable to do it, like Terri or my father, I want it legal for someone else to do it and do it fast, not linger for weeks so the doctors and hospital can get richer on my suffering, emotional if not physical.
