"I mean, why don't they take the kids with them?"

They are going out there to take one of the other foster kids for a family visit with a potential placement. They got permission to take one of the other kids who has relatives there to visit also. These people usually only take teenage boys. They have my 7 year old boy on an emergency and temporary basis. He is also a very difficult child. The state wouldn't have given permission for him to go with them, so I had to arrange a placement for him for the time they were gone. This particular child is actually waiting to be placed in therapeutic foster care.

"Cold enough for you?"

Too cold....and I have this miserable cold besides. Wish I didn't have to get out today. But at least there's no snow.

I had to go out first thing to run those devil rodents out of one of the birdfeeders and grease up the pole with soap. That only lasts just so long in this cold weather though. I think I'm going to have to break down and invest in a serious, squirrel confounding feeder set up.

Kind of hard to find Big Band music anymore

It's from the days when music could be made with more than two instruments (guitar and drum).

"And Duct Tape, don't forget the Duct Tape..."

I always have duct tape, too. I AM from the south, after all. But for the life of me, I can't visualize how I could use duct tape to foil squirrels.

I never even knew that it was really duct tape instead of "duck" tape until a couple of years ago. Actually, Wal Mart does carry a line of "duck" tape that is labeled such. Some wholesaler has a sense of humor.

"Some wholesaler has a sense of humor."

Or didn't know any better himself. You can never be too sure with public school education these days.

Been there, done that. Not to say that the SF bay area is tropical, but at least we don't have below zero weather. It's been cold (relatively) and foggy. The fog hasn't been burning off, and it makes it feel much colder. This has been a colder than usual winter for us here.

What a choice of words, "becoming more 'intolerant'" RUBBISH.

It's more accurate to say that lots of people, not just church-goers, are getting FED UP with immorality, moral relativism, political correctness, and humanism being shoved down our throts?
