If they don't get this mess resolved, you may just have to come stay with your supporters for a few weeks at a time, or something.
By the time Libby and the Queen get there, they can just move in, full time, with their benefactors.

"particularly the part about the damn snowplow driver just waiting to plow the road after my driveway got cleaned out" I had that problem when I lived in the Colorado mountains, too. And at that time, I lived 3 miles out on a dirt road and had a nearly 3 hour commute, so I wasn't amused when my car would be literally buried in that crap.
