Ivy is a real pain. I had a very tenacious ivy in my yard in Colorado. I was always having to cut it back, dig it out of something and get it out of the way. I never could get rid of it. It sprouts these tentacle-like thingies all over the place and forms new roots all along the vine.

He's not impressed with his wound - thinks it's dumb to get hurt in wartime when you're nowhere near a battle, but his requests to go to Afghanistan or Iraq have been denied. He's needed where he is.
A bunch of guys just came back to his base from Afghanistan. They had a good time there. Apparently the coalition forces do the cooking (the Swedes) and they had awesome food all the time.
