I lived in Syracusa, Sicily. Sardinia is fascinating. Well worth the effort to take a trip.
I didn't realize Herculaneum was in such a miserable state. It's been years since I made that trek. It always interested me more than Pompei. I suppose because there seemed to be so much more waiting to be discovered in Herculaneum. Argus' House, Aristides' House and Genius House were the first to be unburied without using tunnels.
Then there's the House of the Tuscan Colonnade and so on.
Giggle.
I've enjoyed this site.

Hey Girlfriend! How I wish I could. :)
How are you today?
I posted the wrong link. I don't know where I got this.
Hey Sweetie! Looks like you are in pretty good conditions today, if I read that right.
I was just told we can't hope for sunshine until Thursday. I will feel like a mushroom before then.
I think I'll keep my appointment at the day spa. It might help. :) I'll be back later.
Wrong link or not, that is a fascinating site.
So, are you heading out on Red Rover today since the weather is nice?
It is, it's just not the one I meant to send. :)

It'll be a nice day to get out for a walk and enjoy the sun.
May just sit here and watch the roofers across the street...~(:-)~
.....Westy.....
I discovered what happened. It's the same source, just the other link I have is in PDF. So, sent the correct version after all. :)
Oh Wow. That looks sooooooooo good. Bess is against me going on in this weather. She says it's flu getting conditions. :)
Westy, what kind of roof are they putting on?
It's really welcome. It was socked in and foggy for a couple weeks, wind chill (wind and fog? I don't get it) was in the 30's. It really did make me ache.
I'm busy with packing up stuff in the living room and dining room so we can install the new hardwood floors. Hubby has already ripped out the hideous old carpet and pad so we'll be ready for the installer. We're putting in Brazilian Walnut, and it's gorgeous. I haven't gotten shutters yet for the living room window and the two dining room windows, and haven't decided what would look best. My sister says I should get white, but I'm wondering what a finish to comlement the floors would be like. Would it be too dark? I really don't have a good feel for design and such. I'm nearly hopeless in that area.
How is the light in those rooms? If they are West or South facing, you might want to consider dark wood shutters.
