We have enough squirrels in our neighborhood to feed a small nation.
Head on to Powerline and Instapundit. Wonderful pics, wonderful coverage.
Good to hear!
Hopefully Andy keeps his head about him.
(He sounds like he knows his way fairly well.)
If you go on vacation, snag a few extra "z"s for me, and relax well.
;-)
Yikes!
Outstanding report and news.
Thanks a bunch for checking in with us.
It's always good to hear from you!
Yall are sure to enjoy being nomads soon, and make Andy jealous with Your Travels!
Thanks guys...forgot to mention one other thing about Andy...he was going to bring his car down a few days before he left for Cuba...one of Doms mechanic friends was going to replace the muffler system, and put on a set of new brakes...so Andy was going to come down to Olympia, and drop his car off, and take one of ours to get back home, and keep our car until he got back from Cuba..that gave the mechanic 3 weeks to do Andys car...and then Andy would come back down with our car, and pick up his fixed car...
A few days before he was supposed to come down, he calls me, and tells me to forget fixing the car....he had been snowboarding up in the mountains with a few friends, and after a day of snowboarding they all got into their respective vehicles and headed home...as Andy pulled out of the lot, his car hit a big patch of 'black ice', and his car went into a tailspin, and all Andy could see was a car speeding down the hiway, about to crash into him, and there was nothing he could do....
Well, she hit him dead on, and his car went into another spin, and a truck coming from the opposite direction hit him...his beloved Camarro was totaled...he showed us pics of it, and that car was squashed like an accordian....
Andy, the woman in the car, and the man in the truck, all walked away, with not even a scratch...thank goodness for large favors...
Anyway, Andy already received a settlement on his car, so when he returns from Cuba, he will come down to Olympia, and Dom will let him use his red Firebird, until Andy decides what kind of car he is going to buy....
Thats the first accident Andy has ever had, and it was a whopper...we are just thankful, that he was not injured, thankful that no one was even slightly hurt, in an accident which could have caused a lot of harm...but all the drivers were seatbelted in, none had been drinking, and it was just pure luck, I guess, that no one was hurt...the Good Lord, was watching out for those folks that day...
Yikes.
Providence had a hand in that for sure.
I have yet to personally be in a vehicle accident, and with His help I won't be in one.
All three walked away without a scratch, coolbeans!
Welcome.
It is good to hear from you.
Wow! The way my kids drive, I'm always afraid they'll be in an injury accident. The wrecks they have had so far were all injury-free, despite the damage that would lead one to assume someone had to have been hurt.
God really does watch over us.
Sounds like it ended well. I've heard lots of similar stories that didn't.
*Counting blessings*
Goodness.
Perhaps the slick surfaces kept everyone spinning and bouncing around with little traction for a bigger impact.
Do you believe in paragraphs?
Just got back from Costco. Good grief - an adult woman was wearing a black teeshirt with the words "F*** Bush - no more in '04" in large white block letters. She had a small child with her. Just appalling.
Which is exactly what I expect to see happen in Arizona...and any other state that tries to legislate to enforce OUR laws against these thieves and parasites. We are dealing with similar issues here. The people are demanding that something be done, but our RINO governor claims it's anti Christian to legislate against them and throw them out. There is speculation that he is on Tyson's payroll. I refuse to purchase Tyson products, because they are the single biggest importer of illegals in this state, and they're paying off somebody in high places, because a lawsuit against them for their illegal hiring practices was thrown out of court based on "lack of evidence." GIVE ME A F'N BREAK! You walk down the street in any town where Tyson has set up shop, and you're lucky to hear English spoken or to experience much civility from these interlopers. They think we owe them. These people are destroying our culture and many of the formerly lovely American areas they've invaded.
I am not against immigration, but I am against turning a blind eye to illegals who enter this country, breaking our laws with impunity and trying to turn our country into the same third world cesspool they escaped. I am also against unbalanced immigration (legal) which says it's okay to bring in people from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Honduras, India and basically anywhere, as long as they aren't white. I'm also against relaxing our laws to make it easy for criminals and those who carry diseases to enter, and I am against relaxing citizenship standards so that immigrants can be naturalized without having to learn the language or to assimilate. I believe immigration should be strictly controlled and that the people who are allowed to come and settle here permanently should have something of value to offer. I don't think it is too much to ask that immigrants be screened for diseases, literacy and ideologies that run in direct opposition to ours and which cannot not reasonably and peacefully coexist with ours. But no, these people come here, legally or illegally, and expect us to change to accommodate them and their language and ideologies, no matter how much we are required to compromise our own principles and beliefs to do so. It is ludicrous and it makes no sense and to continue to allow it is to facilitate the kind of civil unrest that is going to eventually make America virtually indistinguishable from all these other places where the culture wars are a constant of daily life. In that atmosphere, there can be no peace of mind, no genuine pursuit of happiness and no true liberty of the kind that we claim to hold so dear. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
.

Did you glare at the Costco lady? That IS appalling. None of us would ever wear shirts like that. ICK.
Excellent rant. Thanks, and Amen.
Yeah! You'd think Sharky was some kind of newbie troll, or somthin'.
Bless you, Gran! I heard that song one time on the way home from work a couple of years ago and didn't know what it was and I've wanted to find it again and never could. Cool! I'm sending this out and bookmarking it.
