After going back and forth for several hours, Tornell said Probst asked for a break in the filming.

Wow!@ Several HOURS. I wish they had shown us more of the fray.

Thanks for the great show recap, cuz. I know it takes a lot of time to record all the details, and I do appreciate your efforts on our behalf. It's really useful to mull over the last episode before viewing the next!

Janu was a huge disappointment. On week one, she was the first to shinny up a palm tree and cut down coconuts--or was it fronds? She displayed a kind of willowy athleticism that skinny long-boned people sometimes have, and I thought she'd turn out to be a competitor to be reckoned with. But alas, she was just too neurotic to live up to her early promise, which is probably the story of her life.

Dancing on the Vegas strip can hardly be conducive to good mental health. It must require a certain ability to maintain strict mental distance between oneself and the ogling audience. Question is, did Janu go into the profession because she's naturally distant from people? Or wdid the job bring about her apparent inability to relate? We'll never know, and I don't really give a flying fig. Does anyone?

Does anyone know how CBS is going to handle Survivor tonight given the President's press conference which is scheduled for 8:30? I want to hear the President address the American people directly but I also want to see Survivor. I have been waiting all week for the show. It's getting very intense!

The Koror Tribe: Caryn, Gregg, Ian, Jennifer, Katie, Stephenie, Tom

The Jury: Coby, “The Quitter”

The Losers: Jonathan, Wanda, Jolanda, Ashlee, Jeff, Kim, Willard, Angie, James, Ibrehem, Bobby Jon,

Just so y’all are informed, I do not have any idea what SeeBS is going to do tonight. If they hold true to form, they will ignore the President’s address and air Survivor. But if they don’t, I would hope they delay the airing of Survivor until after the address. Who knows? Anyway . . .

Greetings fellow Survivor junkies! Its Thursday, so that means its time once again for your weekly:

SURVIVOR PING!

Tonight’s episode is titled: “I'll Show You How Threatening I Am”

From the official SeeBS website, various video promos and spoiler sites across the world wide web, here is what we can expect to see tonight.

Some Survivors entertain the idea of forming a secret alliance and persuade a tribemate to join their pact. We know from the promos that Katie appears to agree to join the other three women against the men, but this is a “red herring.” Katie is not going to give up a good thing. And she has a good thing going, riding on the coat tails of Tom and Ian. (And to a lesser degree Gregg.)

A Survivor heeds some advice and makes personal hygiene improvements, delighting the tribe. At this point, ALL of the remaining seven are probably smelling pretty ripe. So I don’t think this clue will offer much insight to the outcome of the game.

As the game nears its conclusion, three castaways formulate individual strategies for surviving the upcoming Tribal Council. Well, we know that Stephenie is formulating like crazy, cuz she almost got the boot last week, and it doesn’t look any better this week. Tom looses the ugly necklace this week, so he has to think in the back of his mind that he’s on the chopping block. And the third is probably Gregg or Jenn. They have got to know that a decision is needed soon regarding which way their alliance is going to swing.

The Reward Challenge appears to be the old rehashed letters from home combined with food auction. This will be a precursor for the old family visit challenge which will probably occur next week.

The Immunity Challenge appears to be the old “break the tiles with a coconut” type challenge. Only this time, the tiles are suspended horizontally and the players toss coconuts like they were tossing bean bags.

Well, there you have it:

Cuz’s Weekly Survivor Picks!

Reward Challenge winner – Everyone wins a little something.
Immunity Challenge winner - Ian
Bootee (and 3rd member of the Jury) - Stephenie

Take care,

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up,
totally worn out,
and loudly proclaiming....
Wow, what a ride!"

Freepmail me if you want added to or removed from the Survivor Ping List!

Obviously, the President will start his presser as follows.."My fellow Americans, I appreciate Stephanie's great effort on Survivor, and am sorry she was voted off tonight.."

This tribe won personal hygeine products a few weeks ago. There shouldn't be anyone smelling ripe now. The girls whined about not getting to use the big water shower so I assume they are bathing with the well water. Tom looks clean so I can't see it being him. Gregg is boinking Jenn so I'm sure he's trying to keep the BO down, so I'm guessing the smelly one is Ian.

Smelly or not, I still think he's cute as a button!

I agree with you, he is a cutie. He seems like a really sweet fella too. In the beginning, after looking at the promo pics, I thought I'd be drooling over Gregg. After a couple of weeks I quickly changed my mind. That guy does not scruff up nicely. If it weren't for the relationship with Jenn I'd say he was the smelly one. I can't see her putting up with that though.

Isn't this the second or third time the president has rudely interrupted Survivor? I won't be voting for him in '08 - I know that much!

Too many people are slacking during these individual challenges, figuring they are not at risk. So they are thinking "why bother trying during the immunity challenge?"

I like their idea last time of punishing the first loser during the immunity challenge, but I think they should expand that idea so that the first half of eliminatees of the remaining tribe members are exiled individually for that night and for the rest of the next day.

Being left out of an entire day of being among the top strongest at camp, eating, planning, talking and scheming will put a panic in these useless slackers.

Hopefully, this change would cause the hardest working survivors to go much further in the game.

Thanks for the ping, I admire Stephanie, she is a great player with a lot of heart but it is time for her to go. I don't think the women will vote with her. Why would they form an alliance with Stephanie who is obviously the strongest woman, and well liked too. Their chances are better with the men. They are still a big enough tribe to stick with the plan and vote off Stephanie. See you all later.

Yeah, CBS said they'll air Survivor and CSI after W's speech. They did not mention Without a Trace.

So long, Stephenie. : (

"Anyone know if it's after the press conference??"

I don't know, but I'm guessing not, because CSI is scheduled at 9 EDST.

AGAIN we conservatives have to suffer because of liberal stupidity. If the libs were smart enough to understand that SS is a liberal Ponzi scheme mess created by that socialist Roosevelt, then Bush wouldn't have to be on tonight explaining the obvious to them. And we would be watching Survivor.

Stephanie could be the one with the hygiene problem as she was with the losers on Ulong. If Stephanie is booted out tonight, I'll be very, very mad!
