SURVIVOR: PALAU

premiering Thursday, February 17 at 8 pm ET/PT.

Greetings Survivor FReeks!

Its time once again for a new season of Survivor!

“Twenty Americans are stranded in Palau, the South Pacific paradise some call the 8th natural wonder of the world, where colorful wildlife, dense jungles and an underwater world beyond belief are haunted by the wreckage and remnants of World War II.
From the beginning, the game will be changed in a dramatic way: everything the Survivors have come to expect will be wiped out in the first 10 minutes.
Who will outwit, outplay, and outlast all others in Palau?”

According to the official website, there will only be one tribe (at least for starters) and three contestants will get the boot during the first show.

Should be interesting!

Angie was a better player than Ibrahem ( or what ever his name is.) He is a muscular blob on that team. He's had zero enthusiasm from the start.

Angie's competitiveness grew on me and she was a real team player.

So, she has tattoos and weird piercing's (not my style AT ALL), but I'm sure the producers try to get a good cross section of people as possible; it's a game of strategy and survival 'til the end for a cool million, not a fashion show.

Next week should be interesting to say the least.

I agree about James, gross shot of him in his underwear. Yuk! I think there were a few smart people on Koror who gave immunity to Ibrahim. They know he stinks at water challenges - he couldn't pull the trunk either. And you can bet there will be lots more water challenges. This was one of the best Survivor episodes ever. Nice surprise that they got to give out an immunity without talking strategy and then Ooolong had to vote without being able to consult about it. See you all next week.

This is one of the first survivors that I've ever missed, and it sounds like a good one.

Ack!!!!

I guess they made a smart choice. But I wondered at the time whether it was a sympathy vote after his slightly impassioned speech. Interesting that James didn't get a single vote from Koror. He must be perceived as a threat.

Forming alliances of the weak to push out strong Ian and Tom bothered me. Gregg and Jenn are snakes, and I wonder whether Ian and Tom understand that, or at least feel a shift in the winds. I hate to see weak people win Survivor! Do you think Tom and Ian are capable of scheming their way into staying til the end?

I was thinking about the numbers last night. Koror is at 8 and Oolong is 4, that makes 12. As I recall there are 7 on the jury with 2 being left for the final 2, so that means there has to be 3 more out the door (hey that rhymes) before the jury starts being seated. So maybe the rumors of Oolong losing 3 more people before the merge is correct.

Tom has been the leadership on Koror that's for sure. He has led in the challenges and he even speaks up when saying who will sit out, another strategic choice. He is smart too and is trying to tone down that perception. He is probably too much of a good guy (like Rupert) to make it to the end. Coby is starting to look a little like Richard Hatch to me, he is a schemer. Hope he doesn't make it far.

"I would much rather have her on my team than some of the men I've seen on this and in past challenges."

I've been thinking the same thing. I was turned off be the tatts -- still am -- but she earned respect because she really tried harder than most. I was disappointed that she got voted off. I think she would still be there if it had been a normal tribal council. I don't understand why the other team gave Ibrehim immunity. All looks, no substance.

"The other team wants them to stay because they see them as less of a threat."

Then they haven't been paying attention. Steph has more game than anybody in the show. Ib is a lightweight. Puff and Stuff.

I guess that mean you've got TiNO.

Yes she does. I'd hate to see her get the boot "early" into the game.

The other team has slugs that are just coasting along. Ibraheem ,( whatever), is a musclebound wussy, useless in every way.

" don't understand why the other team gave Ibrehim immunity."

He's one of their weakest players so Koror wanted them to keep him, leading them to vote off one of the strongest players. I know I'd rather go up against him then Angie!

Someone else mentioned that Coby was becoming Richard Hatch. I totally disagree. He's a much stronger at challenges then I thought he would be.

Enough already with Cuz' "Ivory Soap" track record on predictions ( that's 99.44/100% right for you people in Rio Linda)..I've decided to reveal the TRUE secret of how he does it..(Note:If you don't want to know, don't read any further..)

See..Cuz has been giving us hints...first off..easiest to decipher was his Freeper screen handle...admittedly, it's unusual, even among Freepers..so focus on the first words.."cuz_it_aint.."...."C_I_A"......there you go...he's obviously in comms at Langley, and he uses the vast resources of the government to intercept the CBS satellite feeds to obtain the programs well in advance. I mean, if I had access to the NSA satellites and computer networks, I could "figure" it out also

I haven't quite figure out the last two words..."their_money".."T_M?" could it be his initials? I was going to try to hack into the CIA directory last night, to look for matching names, but I decided to watch the American Idol results show instead...Or, it could mean something else..I mean, someone as smart as "cuz" wouldn't leave so obvious a clue..or would he?

So, what else could "T_M" stand for?

(Cuz..hope you enjoy..my little way of saying thanks for your efforts...the show wouldn't be anywhere near as fun without the thread..)

Top Man
Tough Meanie
Toilet Maintenance

Ken, I think you're on to something here. We need to put some serious additional thought into this if you think it's safe to do so. I mean, this is the CIA that we're talking about here.

From everything I've read, those Ulong rumors ARE indeed correct. I've also learned know who makes it to the merger from Ulong. The boot order of Ulong should be fairly predictable for the next few weeks.

So, what else could "T_M" stand for?

Well lets see . . .
It could stand for "The Master, or
It could stand for "Top Man, or
It could stand for "Totaly Mental.

Or it could just stand for "their_money" as in "Cuz it aint their money". (A little Rush lingo for those of you in Rio Linda)

You see, Rush used to reply thusly whenever anybody asked him why he objected to the Congress spending our tax dollars.

Anyway Ken, while I do admit to being a federal employee, to say I work for the CIA would be a stretch!

BTW, Happy Saint Patrick's Day to one and all!

A bit early to be nippin at the Guinness isn't it Ken?

A Thousand Pardons! For the life of me, I can't explain why you are no longer on the Ping List, since I assume that you did not send a Freepmail asking to be removed.
Of course you didn't send a freepmail, if you did why would you be asking? Does this sound like I'm rambling? It does! Doesn't it?

Rest assured, you have been added back in! And thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Again, please accept my sincerest apologies.
